I am going to be stalking this topic a lot! DD and I just went for her first trip this month, and as FL residents, I was thinking of driving up for the day just for the party. (its only an hour drive) Not only that, as I was reading and day dreaming about it, my boss just walked up and asked if I want to work on Monday (memorial day) for double pay. Well, that covers the cost of tickets almost exactly! Must be fate.
Now that I have some extra money... I am debating doing dinner with Cinderella either at CRT or Park Fare. I think DD (4 yrs) would adore that. Her Halloween costume is Cinderella, since we got the dress in MK this month. How does one get from the Grand Floridian to MK? Would it be best to drive up, park at MK, monorail over for dinner, then monorail back for the party?
And if you were driving up for the party, which night would be the lowest crowds, in the later half of October?
You can get to MK from GF by either Monorail or by water transportation. In my opinion, it's best to park at the resort and just take the transportation to the MK. I find it less stressful to park at the resorts and free (although you should be eating or staying there to park there). And with a 4 yr old in a costume, you'll probably need a restroom on your way in and out of the parks...you'll find the restrooms at the GF are much nicer
