Official 2011 MNSSHP Party Planning Thread ..BOO to You and You..Happy Halloween!

I believe someone posted that they think Rapunzel/Flynn will be in Town Square Theater.

I wouldn't expect Ariel/Eric to be there.

This thread is too long so I don't have time to read it. But I wanted to confirmed this. Rapunzel and Flynn Rider will be in Townsquare theater, with Cinderella and Prince Charmin and Snow White and the Snow prince. Rapunzel will lend her spot to Aurora and Prince Phillip.

We are planning on spending the entire day in MK - does anyone know if we have to go to the front after 4pm to show our tickets and get a wristband or whatever?
Us too. No you can get braclets from few diff locations one is usually around rose garden. and it seems as if there is usually a spot off by splash also.

May I ask where you got your Angelica costume? I am also Angelica (attending 10/13) with my H (Capt Jack) and teenage kids who are going to be Jasmine & Jafar. I ordered the Disney Pirates of the Caribbean Angelica Deluxe Adult Costume and am pretty disappointed in it, especially the hat.

You're right, it's not as good as I thought it would be. :sad2: I'm ordering a cheap costume corset I found online in lieu of the cheap velcro one it came with. I think I'm going to just go with the hat, after some bending it's not too bad. I do like the shirt and the vest is fine. The boot covers are ridiculous though! The pants are ok but I think they are too big on me and I have a bunch of extra fabric in the front that I'm hoping the underbust black corset will hide!

With regard to Angelica, Spirit Halloween has a few options for her and they sell some really awesome female pirate boots (not boot covers, actual boots!!!)

Are you saying Rapunzel/Flynn will swap out with Aurora and Phillip at points during the party? Because other posters are saying R, SW, and Cinderella are permanent during the party?

No, EnchantedTales is saying that normally Aurora is in the Town Square Theater location. For puposes of MNSSHP Aurora/Philip will be where Rapunzel normally is (Fairytale Garden) and Rapunzel/Flynn will be in Town Square Theater. R/F should be there continuously, whereas A/P will be in their spot off and on throughout the night. No roulette involved. I hope it's that easy at MVMCP!

Sweet! Thanks so much!

Can you let me know which corset you're buying. I'm looking for one for my costume and couldn't believe some of the prices!

Getting super fired up now! Two weeks till my party. And two stupid questions:

The map in the link...is that something that you can pick up in the park at the party? I know MK pretty well, but I'm wondering if I should try to print off a copy at work so I know where all the fun is.

Second, the character dance parties...what are these like? Is it Disney music, kids bop music, or dance music? I remember back in the day they used to play actual dance music for tweens/teens around tomorrowland during certain times of the year (I'm thinking Spring Break). I just want an idea if I should plan on going or skip, we are two adults, I love to dance, but if it totally kid centric, I probably will pursue other activities.

Last year we went to the Woody dance party. I remember them playing Cotton Eye Joe as one of the songs. That was basically the type music. It was cute to experiance, but it was mainly little kids with their parents. I only stayed because my son loved it, otherwise, as two adults, I would check it out but not stay long. It really was just kids dancing with Woody, Jesse and Bullseye and parents around them watching/videotaping. Hope that helps!

Do the lines for Peter Pan generally go down during the party and to what times? Can anyone give us a report this year of what they see? Thanks.

This one. Worried about it making it here in time since we leave in a week!!! They're in BC though and I'm in AB so hopefully they'll be willing to ship priority for me, still waiting to hear back.

You don't have to print the map. They will be handing trifold copies out as you enter the party.

Last year I spent a bit of time at the dance party in Tomorrowland after the 2nd parade and I enjoyed myself dancing to the Cha-cha slide and some other fairly contemporary dance songs.

We didn't do the dance parties last year but they looked super fun :cool1:

I wouldn't bother to print a park map. You can pick them up as you enter the park. We went in earlier than 7 pm (somewhere around 5.30 pm) and they were out on display already so I would imagine from 4 pm they are available even if you have to ask for one

The line for Peter Pan and Winnie The Pooh always seem to stay fairly long in my opinion...

Where did you get yours? I got mine from Party City and I am also dissapointed. The felt hat is a mess and hard to sculpt and I'm not even sure how to sculpt it. I didnt get deluxe but sheesh. All the fabric is super cheap.
