Official 2011 MNSSHP Party Planning Thread ..BOO to You and You..Happy Halloween!

I agree!! I'm more excited than I am for Christmas!:banana::banana:

I think the idea of going as Hawaiian was the best for adults! I'm trying to talk my DCuz into being the Big Bad Wolf and am working on my Fifer Pig costume.

I have not seen a list for any characters/locations this year yet. They will have less space w/Toon Town gone :sad1:

We have decided on the kids customes and they can't be changed because I bought them. DS is going to be Peter Pan DD is going as tinker bell, just asked DH if he wanted to go as a boy that never grows up or a pirate and his response was a roll of the eyes and a chunkle. I still have a few months to convince him.

Not any more crowded than any other sold out night!

How it feels will depend on what you want to accomplish. The rides won't be bad. Finding a spot on Main Street for the parade or Hallowishes will be your challenge. If everyone were distributed around the park it wouldn't be a problem, but they all have to be in the same place for those things.

Thanks mom2rtk! We are buying our tix tonight!!!

Have fun! We've been to 2 MVMCP's that were definitely sell-outs. But we knew going into it that they were sell-outs and adjusted our expectations. And you know what? We had a ball both times!

Anyone else going to dinner before the party starts? DBF and I have a 5:10 ressie at 'Ohana before heading over to the party.

We have a 5:00 ADR for Whispering Canyon. We are planning on wearing our costumes to dinner and then taking the boat right to the MK. It will be Halloween night, so hopefully we won't get strange looks for going to dinner in costume. I'm a little nervous about how the WCC wait staff will react when they see us. :)

If it were me, I wouldn't have such a late dining reservation before the party, unless it were inside MK, especially on Halloween night. By the time you eat and take the boat to MK, the party will have probably already started and Halloween always sells out. I would be in the park when you can start getting in at 4 so you are in the middle of the action and ready to go when the festivities begin at 7. If there are any special photo ops you are looking forward to, the lines will most likely be long by the time you get there.

To each his own.... but I absolutely agree. We always eat IN the park around 4 so we can take our time, not stress about missing anything, and be in line for our favorite photo op well in advance of 7.

For those of you interested in Cindy's carriage......... FYI........ they usually opened that one up a little early. We were able to do this and still be in line for the dwarfs at 6:30. So we had 2 headline long lines done by 7:15.

What costumes are you wearing? Just wondering....

WHY IS IT TAKING FOREVER FOR AUGUST TO SHOW UP :headache: Time is sooo slow until your vacation and then it's super fast while youre there...

And I will probably going as modern Anastasia, since Lime Green is not a super popular color and pink and purple is...finding a *matching* outfit for Drizella is wicked hard...and I like what I have for Anastasia...although she's the nicer sister ;(>

Can someone please tell me if Cinderella's Carriage is different from the Horseless Carriage? Can you take pictures with the Headless Horseman or can you just take a picture as he rides by in the parade? I am trying to decide on my most important photo ops. Also should I bring my autograph book or will none of the characters sign autographs? I know the dwarfs and villains won't sign but will others? Is it best to get there by 4:00 or will 6:00 be sufficient? Thank you so much for helping me plan. Happy almost Halloween!!! (I'm trying to convince myself three months isn't that long.)

Does anyone know if they pipe in the music to Hallowishes on the beaches of the Polonesian or Grand Floridian Resorts?

We went on our 2006 vacation for the first time and liked it so much bought tickets for a second night! Going again this year! Awesome time!

Having dinner at Ohana at 5:15. I think this should be okay to get to MK for 7:00

Three different events.
1. Cinderella's carriage is decorated with fall foliage and pumpkins and makes a lovely photo background. Was in the stroller parking in Fantasy Land last time I saw it, but check newer maps when the appear here after first party.
2. Horseless Carriage is located in front of Haunted Mansion. A photopass person will take your pic. Act scared! Then add in the magic - a ghostly driver.
3. The Headless Horseman will ride really fast through the streets proceeding the parade. Need to have camera ready as he does not stop for photos.

Hope this helps.

We have our tickets for Tuesday, Oct. 25th! It's our first time and we're thrilled. I already have costume ideas for DS5 (pirate) and DS3 (cat) but still need to find somewhere to buy them. Now, just to convince DH that WE need dress up too!

Characters at the dance parties and the villain mix and mingle usually do not sign autographs. Characters at meet and greets do sign.

But you can get pix with the Villains after the Mix and Mingle.
