Official 2011 MNSSHP Party Planning Thread ..BOO to You and You..Happy Halloween!

Subbing..............On the fence as whether to attend our first MNSSHP or not. :confused3 There are 3 parties during our stay and as my current schedule stands I am looking at Friday 10/21 but I have heard Friday parties can be busy , my other choices are Thursday 10/20 or Sunday 10/23 but I will need to do a lot of shuffling of ADR's for the later two dates. My ADR date is coming up fast April 22nd so I need to decide.

Will I need to purchase my tix for the Party early? Not sure about sell-outs other than I recall last year the party on Oct 31 sold out ...........:headache:

I have not read the entire thread yet so forgive me if the answer to my ? has already been discussed......will go back to read now :)

10/6 here we come! We did our first party last year and had the time of our lives!! This year we are bringing our 3 nieces with us! I remember looking for the MNSSHP merchandise and I got to Emporium too early (7pm) and they told me to come back later. I guess they wanted to make sure it was party goers only. But I am looking forward to more glow in the dark T shirts and AP and DVC exclusive pins!!!
Happy Halloween Everyone
and P.S. How addicting is the parade theme song?!?!

we'll be there the last week of October. Waiting for the official dates to come out. We had so much fun the first time we went- can't wait to do it again!!!!

We've got plans to go 9/20...... I've got my credit card poised and ready for when the tix go on sale! :drive:

We are hoping to attend MNSSHP on September 23 or 27. I'm really hoping that one of those nights is a discount night for DVC members or annual pass holders :goodvibes

We are going to the first one on 9/13 (hope they have it then when the official dates come out)

Our dates aren't set in stone yet, but we are hoping the party dates for this year are roughly what they were last year. If thats the case then we are shooting for MNSSHP on one of the last nights and then catch MVMCP the following week. We haven't been to MNSSHP yet but love MVMCP.

That is exactly what we are planning on doing - going to MNSSHP on Nov. 1 and the MVMCP on Nov. 8! Can't wait :goodvibes

Planning to go on October 7th and it will be our first time. Just me and DW no kids hope we will enjoy it. Don't know if we should dress for the party or go as is. Any thoughts.

It's just me & DH (early 50's) and last year we wore matching tie dyed shirts in Halloween colors with a Mickey/Minnie head on them. There's a thread somewhere on here with how to make them, although I bought ours from a website where people sell homemade items. ;)

Haven't been since 2008. We love MNSSHP!! :lovestruc Looking forward to going again on 9/30.

DH and myself both in our 50's also were thinking of doing Halloween themed t-shirts for the Party, personally I would love to dress up (not sure as what) but DH is not too keen on that idea :rotfl:

SO EXCITED! I've always wanted to go to this as I adore Halloween but couldn't because of class.. I was recently accepted as a character performer and cannot wait for MNSSHP!

October 31st and November 1st sold out last year. I think their was another party that sold out as well. For the dates before the week of Halloween, they usually don't sell out and you may be able to buy tickets the day of.

I would recommend the party. It is fantastic no matter how "busy" it is. I don't think any of those dates will be too busy.

We were there last year on Nov. 1 - don't let 'sold out' scare you....unless they significantly (and by that I mean at least double) increase the number of guests it's not going to feel very crowded...we never found the walkways crowded, didn't wait for more than 10 min. for a ride (not sure about Space, Thunder or Splash) and most were walk on, didn't wait more than a few minutes for TorT spots, and by choice waited about an hour to see the 7 dwarves (but we were in line 30 min. before the party officially started).

We'll be taking our two nieces on Nov 1st.

Hopefully it makes up for flying cross country on Halloween, but that was the only day that worked in their sports schedules.

Hi everyone!! We are actually planning my daughter's "WISH" trip, granted by the Dream Factory. We are shooting for the 1st week in October. So can anyone tell me the price difference for those tix as opposed to normal tix. Can we upgrade that day or do we need to do it before hand? We haven't been at Halloween before, so we are really looking forward to our trip!!

Thanks for the help!!

It will be our 1st MNSSHP when do tickets get released usually, I have been checking everyday Disney website next week I can book ADR and I want to coordinate for October!

I am so torn....we cannot decide if this is worth the extra cost for us. I am worried that I will be disappointed, despite the great reviews. I wish our trip was longer because I think I would be more willing to spend an evening there. Luckily our night should not sell out and we may be able to make a last minute decision.

We've been going to either MNSSHP or MVMCP since 2005 and the tickets have usually gone on sale on May 1st for both events.

Happy Planning!
