Good question! I hadn't thought about that, but wonder the answer as well!

No. They will have a wristband station set up in the park. In prior years it was the path through the rose garden. Last year it was in Tomorrowland. Just walk through, get your tickets scanned, and they will put a wristband on you. Easy as can be!

I called yesterday to get tickets for Sept 20th with the military discount. I was told these tickets could only be puchased at the resorts and customer service... Has anyone else come across this? TIA

We purchased with the DVC discount and we could order them now, but we can't have them shipped. We have to pick them up at will call so we can show our membership card.

I'd call back and suggest that to the CM, the one you spoke to may not have realized that was an option?

Hello - finally firming up our plans! We are going to be in the area Oct 23-28 and want to attend our first MNSSHP. I was planning to attend the Oct 27 party but it seems like a lot of people are posting they are going that night. Do you think it will be really busy that night? It's our only stop at WDW so I don't want it to be crazy busy. I have the choice of Oct 23 (Sun) or Oct 27 (Thurs). Which would you pick?

Also - what percentage of people actually dress up? Are we party poopers if we don't? I know the kids will but DH and I aren't really into dressing up.

I also read on the first post that there is free face painting during the party - does that mean you have to wait until 7 pm or can you get it done earlier (like 4:30) if you have your wristband on?

We are tentatively planning to do MHSSHP on the day we arrive. Our flight gets in at noon and we have a grocery stop then checking in. Do you all think we will make it in time for a 4pm entry?

We're planning on going Sept. 20th! We are so excited, it's our families first trip and therefore first MNSSHP!

There never is. That way they can use the ticket stock to print tickets until it's gone. They will use the same stock for Christmas party tickets too.

And they probably have a large stock of those tickets because those were the same paper tickets we had for our recent trip to DL (of course they said Disneyland, but still had the same characters).

On the first page of this thread it states this too... we're going on Sept. 27th with a military discounted ticket so I guess we'll pick them up at Beach Club or at the front gate at the MK. Thanks! April

They won't mail the military discount tickets?
I was going to get them but thought they were mailed.

We'll be there the 27th too, our only other party was 2009 too.

We are planning on going the 27th - we went last year on our last day and we were SO tired on the drive back to NC the next day - this time we are doing it earlier in our trip.

I "think" we are all going as gnomes....if I can convince my 6 year old - he want's to be a cloud :|

Well, knowing going the last day was hard helps cement the 27th for me. Part of me thought the 30th would be better. We could have it be our last hurrah, and then drive back in the am.

Why not go as garden or lawn gnomes and your DS can be a cloud in your sky? Win/Win

I use to always plan being at MK for our last night so I would probally choose to head to the party on the 30th if I had not changed my dates from that week to October.

Plus it seems like everyone is going on the 27th that week to avoid Fri Nite and the locals but the 30th is also opening day for F&W so I do think F&W will draw the locals that Friday Night not MNSSHP

If I recall the marathon(F&W) is also that evening making for fewer crowds in MK
