Official 2011 MNSSHP Party Planning Thread ..BOO to You and You..Happy Halloween!

Just one hour early...6pm for the 7pm start of the party...they are the most popular characters to meet since it is pretty much the only place you can get your picture taken with them...and they are so cute!!
The villians and other characters will be there too but for some reason everyone wants a picture with the dwarfs. My girls are very excited to see them.

they are the only reason we are going this October:rotfl2: have never seen them and can't believe that I can get all seven at one time. Both kids are so excited about seeing them. DS (age 4) said he would even have his picture taken with Snow White if he could see Grumpy. Why Grumpy we don't know.:confused3

I plan to get in line around 6:00 not any earlier

Does anyone know if they pipe in the music to Hallowishes on the beaches of the Polonesian or Grand Floridian Resorts?

Hey everyone,

My dbf & I are hoping to make our first WDW this fall...We were hoping for our 2 year anniversary in Oct, but because of the Free Dining Plan Offer, we are bumping it up till September...We are both WDW Devotees (cant tell you the number of trips between us), but this will be our first trip together, and our first without our families (so more of a romantic feel)

I work in the fall as a art producer for Halloween Haunt Events (attend conventions all year round) So I am SO EXCITED to do MNSSHP! My only concern is, being there in September, will there be a Halloween feel to the parks at that point? We haven't booked yet, but we are shooting for the 20th for the party...Also, being in our 20's the party will still be enjoyable, and not 150% geared towards the youngest ones, right?

We have never been during this time of year, what other fun halloween events are there to do? I just learned about the carriage ride at FW , and Im hoping to pitch the idea to DBF..(I'm pretty sure he is planning on asking a certain question during our trip) But is it fun if it was just the two of us?

Sorry for so many questions and a long post, just so excited!!! pirate:

We are going to our first MNSSHP on Oct. 6th. We are so excited.

My 6 year old daughter's favorite Disney character is Maleficent so I'm really hoping to get a picture of the two of them together. Will there be information on where to stand or go after the Villain's Mix & Mingle? I just want to make sure I don't blow this once in a lifetime chance.

Thanks! :maleficen

Maleificent has been to the far left as you are facing the stage in the past. Since she is one of the most popular, people start lining up at the start of the show. There will be cast members in front of the stage who can help direct you where to stand for each characters' mingle. After the first few parties, ask your question again to be sure. The reports on this board are your best source for the Villains' line up. Remember, there is usually one show that will not have a mingle---usually the one just before the fireworks. And, the villains do not sign autoigraphs, just pose for pix. Enjoy------all of the characters are AWESOME!

Well, it must vary over time. We were there in 09 and Maleficent was lining up to the far right as you face the stage. I think you can assume it will be one of the two, as she was the only character they kept behind a rope. Just keep your eyes out, if you walk near the stage earlier in the evening, see where she is. I think they are fairly consistent. Or ask a CM in the area where she will be after the show. We did that, and just sat down for the show right where she would be. After the show we stood up and the line formed behind us.

Good luck!

We are going September 23rd!! Can't wait!! :dancer:

Would adults enjoy this party or is it more for children? We were thinking about attending but it is really pricey adn we don't have kids.

Thank you SO much for you advice and help! Maleficent is my daughter's Disney "Princess". When we went on a Disney cruise over xmas we had a Maleficent dress made for her. So we have pictures of her trying to give Snow White an apple and Sleeping Beauty pretending to running away. The girls who played the two princesses were fantastic and totally played along. It was awesome.

DH and I love MNSSHP and we do not have kids. This will be our 4th one (went to two parties on our last trip) and we are in our late 30's.

Just purchased my tickets today for Oct. 28th!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

From your experience, how crowded will October 28th be?? Any advice would be awesome, as this is our first MNSSHP.

I do not have any children and I love MNSSHP. It's not just for kids. The shows are amazing, the fireworks are spectacular, and the parade is unforgettable. I love the different characters that are out and seeing everyone's costumes. I usually dress up as well. I would recommend it. I believe it is worth the money.

I opted to pick my ticket up at will call so as not to risk leaving it at home when I pack, but I'm totally jealous of everyone who is starting to get theirs in the mail. There's something very exciting about holding a tangible ticket, even if it is still months away.

I know! We got ours yesterday and it turned into a big celebration:rotfl:
