OFFICIAL 2010 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) Tips and Tricks

I'd like to know what characters I can get during the day before the party starts so I can narrow down the list of those that are in the party. And I mean, do Tiana and Naveen dress up especially? (I can skip them, I think) (I believe Mickey and Minnie do) Is Scrooge and Santa available during the day? I know about the rare characters (dwarves, Abu..) but will the regular ones be different? (think I saw a pic of Lilo and Stitch in holiday costumes)

Finally, is it correct for me to say it'll be the dwarves to get in line first before the party starts? I'm thinking them first, then Abu and Genie, then the Princesses w/their Princes...

Not attending MVMCP? I figured you'd be attending one of the first parties so you could tell us all the tips and tricks of 2010! LOL

Tiana/Naveen and Rapunzel/Flynn are on the list for the party, but will all be available in the parks during the day.

The princesses typically are not in any special attire during the party, save for the added accessory of prince on their arms.

Mickey and Minnie will NOT appear in the park in Christmas attire until after the party. I'm not exactly sure which day that will start.

Scrooge is not on the list to appear this year.

The Tremaines won't have any special attire.

The addition of the dwarfs for the party is nice. (Not as big a deal for us since we did MNSSHP last year and saw them with Snow White) But I'm still very disappointed in the list of characters set to appear during the party. Many of them are readily available during the regular park day.

The one big improvement this year over the MVMCP we attended in 08 is that Mickey and Minnie will appear together. I said all along that I would gladly wait twice as long to see them together. Can't wait til next month when we can find out how they will be dressed for the holidays!

Thanks for starting this, Berlioz If you want to meet SW & 7, I suggest being in line early. This line (and the line for free face painting) was extremely looooong all night. DGrD and I started the line at last years MNSSHP at about 6PM and it grew quickly. I would rather spend an hour of non-party time waiting in line. Last year they added a Photopass Photog to the spot and our pictures are AWESOME!! Of course we dressed as SW and the Evil Queen - so let me make that "PRICELESS"!.

Would love to see a photo of this, a few years ago when I was down for MNSSHP, there was no photopass at this station and my own photos turned out yucky and would love to get a good one this year at MVMCP, was excited to hear that they would be out, they use to be and then they weren't so it will be good to see them but would love to see your photopass photos.

Just an FYI...... Previously Snow White appeared with the Dwarfs. She's currently scheduled to be in Toontown with her Prince.

And are there any CM's out there who can answer this:

I know adults are not allowed to wear costumes in the parks during the day. I have heard they are allowed to wear them only at hard-ticketed events. I have also heard it's only allowed at MNSSHP.......... I have an evil queen costume and was thinking of bringing it for pictures with the dwarfs at MVMCP this year. I know people traditionally don't attend MVMCP in costume, but is it allowed????? I wouldn't be wearing it all night, probably just for the Dwarf photo, but want to be clear on whether it's allowed.

I know year we did Mvmcp Belle was in her red holiday dress and I seem to recall Snow white and her prince had a holiday touch also. Also I know Eeyore and gang had scraves and hats on during party but not during day.

Ahhh.... how could I forget Belle? I actually have made my daughter a replica of her costume to wear at the party.... and I missed it! I don't recall any other touches on the other princesses though. I really wish they would add something.. a muff..... their winter jackets (I know Cindy has one but doesn't wear it much except the parade) or even a sprig of holly!

I'll go dig thru pics and see what I can find. I coulda swore I rember snow prince having holly on his cape and snow having a red cape/shawl kinda thing going on. I stand corrected. Pics will be in my next post.

I think DH and I are going to be waiting in line the majority of the party (other than parade and fireworks) to meet the characters. I loooove the Christmas outfits!!!!

all the pics i posted were from our pp cd. they are out but not with every character. there is a special pp card given out during party times that gets you % off prints bought

Hi everyone. I thought Toontown was closed due to the Fantasyland expansion and the Princesses would be at the Exposition Hall but I could be wrong. Is Toontown still open? I skipped around a lot and haven't read the whole thread so I apologize if this has already been discussed. I'll be attending the party 12/10 and will spend most of the night with my kids hunting down the characters so I want to make sure we're headed in the right direction. Thanks for your help!

I'm knitting (just learned) scarves for the family to wear. Each person will have a different color/pattern, girls, red and white, boys green and white.

If you check out the page for each individual character you can see where they are during the day (if available) and what they wear at their daytime locations.

Hehe, as it turns out, I actually do not like the Christmas Party; especially since the parade and shows are available during the day for free closer to Christmas. We decided last year to attend day of, so that may happen again this year.

Mom2rtk got most of them, but check out the report from last year to see what the characters dress as. The vast majority get a scarf and I saw Cindy and Jasmine in their special winter wear.

I have an evil queen costume and was thinking of bringing it for pictures with the dwarfs at MVMCP this year. I know people traditionally don't attend MVMCP in costume, but is it allowed????? I wouldn't be wearing it all night, probably just for the Dwarf photo, but want to be clear on whether it's allowed.

To be honest, adults wear costumes all the time. It's more a rule that you cannot pose as a character and start pretending to be the real thing. I think it would be fine to wear it, I'd let you through, but some CMs will enforce the rule while others do not. You can always take the cape and ask the CM while in line.

Toon Town is closing in 2011, it'll be open during the parties.
