Loving this thread! Thank you Berlioz!!! My fiance got us tickets to the November 28th party for my birthday.. I'm so excited!!!!

I just ordered my tickets for Dec 12. Here's hoping the kids (DD9, DD7 and DDalmost4) can stay up to enjoy it. We're planning to sleep in the mornings before and after. But we'll be ready if they get cranky, and head back to the resort anyway.

W're going on the 12th too and my children are also DD9,DD7,DS4. How funny!!!I don't know how late we'll make it either. The DD7 will probably be the judge of that. When she's tired everyone will know it.

We were referring to MNSSHP, SM was not on the map but is open during the party. So we're wondering if the same will be true for MVMCP. I think it's safe to assume it'll be open.

Gotcha. Didn't even know it wasn't on the map for MNSSHP this year, but I went two weeks ago and it was definitely open.

This thread just keeps getting better! SO much great info! Thanks Berlioz and all the other posters who have added their tips along the way. We just ordered our MVMCP tickets yesterday! We'll be there November 18th for DH's birthday. Our plan is to arrive at 4 and see if we're able to get any rides in, and then we have a 5:30 ressie at CRT for a special birthday dinner! So excited! By the time dinner is over we can head over to the skyway for some character meets! Can't wait!

We are going on Dec. 14. My daughter has a 3:00 appointment at BBB in the castle and we have 4:30 CRT ressies for dinner, then off to the party! Can't wait!

Quick question (and I hope this hasn't been asked yet). I understand that Disney lets ticket holders into the park at 4, but do any of the special party things happen at that time? Does the party start at 7PM on the dot?

I thought you couldn't get advanced purchase tickets for Dec 12. Maybe I just don't understand Disney's definition of advanced purchase.

Someone please explain. I would love to be able to go ahead and order our tix for Dec 12!

I do believe they just mean that they are not offering advance purchase discounts..you can order them in advance, you'll just pay the same price at the same day purchase...but that close to the holiday, there probably won't be any available the day of....

I haven't been there yet, but I heard that the parade is about 30 minutes. And the fireworks and each of the stage shows is about 20 minutes.

I must admit, I am not planning on attending MVMCP, so I have not really thought about creating a plan. Once I have some more free time, I will try to create one because you asked

I'd like to know what characters I can get during the day before the party starts so I can narrow down the list of those that are in the party. And I mean, do Tiana and Naveen dress up especially? (I can skip them, I think) (I believe Mickey and Minnie do) Is Scrooge and Santa available during the day? I know about the rare characters (dwarves, Abu..) but will the regular ones be different? (think I saw a pic of Lilo and Stitch in holiday costumes)

Finally, is it correct for me to say it'll be the dwarves to get in line first before the party starts? I'm thinking them first, then Abu and Genie, then the Princesses w/their Princes...

THis will be our first time on a MVMCP
