We are going to Disney Dec 12-20th and have been planning on going to the Dec. 12th MVMCP. Well.... we just found out that are expecting a baby and so we decided to try and save a little money if we can on this trip. I know they have snow and cookies and hot chocolate at the party, but I heard that the shows and fireworks are shown later in December during regular hours. Does anyone know more info on this?

I am dying to see Disney in all its Christmas hooopla, so we don't want to miss anything amazing, but if we can save some money and put it back for when the new baby comes, all the better. Any info would be great. Thanks as always!!! :santa:

Starting 12/19 - everything they do during the MVMCP goes into regular circulation. However saving on ticket costs is negated by the rise in room/package costs.

You're off by a day. And if the poster who asked about this is leaving on the 20th, she'll miss it. The last party is on the 19th, and they start the party and shows in the MK during park hours the following day, which is the 20th, her departure day.

Are the weekday parties typically less busy than the weekend parties? Just wondering - we purchased for Dec 7!!!

Does anyone know why you can not get the advanced buy discount for certain nights? Does that mean they are projecting those nights to be the busiest nights?

BTW, I am sitting here listening to Disney Christmas songs! My famiy thinks I am nuts! :goodvibes

I can't say with 100% certain, but my assumption is the same as yours - they probably wouldn't have discounted tickets for busier nights.

According to other threads, SM was left off the map on accident and it was up and running for the 1st MNSSHP, just later in the day. Guess it had mechanical problems earlier.

This probably is kind of a stupid ?, but is it actually REAL snow that falls on Main St.? My reason for asking, is I am afraid my kids will be sticking out their tongues and trying to eat it like they do at home.

No, it is not real. It is a soapy foam.

We have never been to WDW during Christmas and are possibly sneaking in a trip early November this year. When I read Osborne Lights Show was up and running so early, I got excited that all holiday happenings would be running by then. I am trying to learn what is and what isn't but my question for the party is:

Is this the only way to see holiday-related fireworks and parades prior to Thanksgiving?

Thank you,
Dreams

I am trying to keep the "snow" a surprise for my daughter. We live in Florida and she has always wanted to see snow. I have the same question as the pp, does the snow fall only at a certain time?
