Offer Just Accepted!

Just had my offer for a small add on at OKW accepted today. Need to go thru the whole process again but at a more leisurely pace than my 1st contract where I was under the 7 month window already. This offer going thru TSS. First contract went thru Fidelity and was aroiund this time last year. Went very smooth , I thought. About 6 weeks total from acceptence to DVC Member # ! Need some pixiedust: for that ROFR Bear.
And here's some for everyone else waiting pixiedust:

Congrats ad well wishes on passing ROFR!

You can spend the waiting time planning the usage of the new points!

Just a small update. I finally got my contract this past Tuesday, 9/3/13. Due to the labor day holiday it took them a little while to get the points summary from Disney and finalize the contract. I promptly faxed it back that same evening. I just heard this afternoon that the seller has sent back their signed copy as well and that the contract is now off to Disney for ROFR! Now the long wait begins, October 5th can't come soon enough!

Now I just need to find something to keep myself occupied for the next 30 days so the anticipation doesn't kill me, lol! I guess I should get back to work...bleh!

My contract was sent to ROFR the same day! I know what you mean about the long wait until October. I never thought time could go so slow! Pixie dust to both of us.pixiedust:

Well, finally I can join the wait - I accepted the sellers' counter offer today. I suspect this may go slow as sellers no longer live in the same state as each other. So once I sign my contract and pay the deposit it wouldn't surprise me for sellers to dawdle - but perhaps they'll want their money and be as eager to get it done as I am. I'm prepared to wait, I'd be shocked if Disney exercized ROFR on this one based on my research, so that isn't much of a concern for me. My best estimate is that I'll have that member no. mid Dec..
Good luck to all my fellow wait-ees.

I bought into DVC way back in 1994 when we got free passes until the year 2000.... I have lost so much money in the market and in my retirement fund, but the DVC points keep paying forward, and forward, and forward. I remember watching the initial VCR tape of DVC and saw that one day my children will spend honeymoons here.... now many years later we are dreaming of weddings and honeymoons. Best money I ever spent..... now we own at 4 resorts and with Poly coming on, will soon be 5! 11 month window is the way to go these days.... to get what you want..... we just booked Grand Floridian studio, but did so knowing that new resorts are easier to get into..... that window of opportunity will close in the next year or so.... LOVE DVC and especially the Premium annual pass discount this next year..... we now do Disney every other year basically.... we buy premiums and then got 4 times that year.... hubbie and I visit food and wine on the off year alone... which is magical:):dance3:

You mentioned the premium pass discount this next year. Have you heard whether or not they are offering it again this year?

Congratulations on the acceptance of your offer ! It might not take as long as you think. . . We sent our information to ROFR 8/26 and just heard TODAY that Disney waived it so it's ours! :cool1: We have 100 points at BW so hoping for good luck for May, even tho its at the 7 month window. Quick question - what kind of discount is there on annual premium passes?

This is our first contract and still pretty new to DVC.
