I made an offer yesterday and received an acknowledgment email almost immediately and then contact from broker confirming my offer stating that they would get back to me ASAP. How long does it typically take for them to get back to you with an acceptance/rejection/counter?

Just depends. Some days. Some instantly.

Many put a time limit on their offers. For example, "This offer is good until 5 pm on August 21, 2020". That encourages a prompt response and frees the buyer to offer on another contract if that seller isn't interested in negotiating.

I've dealt with this issue recently. If you haven't heard by now, you might want to send an email giving them a 9 am deadline tomorrow morning for an answer. You'll be surprised how fast they manage to get an answer to you.

I personally would just call the broker to follow up! 💁🏼‍♀️ You’ll get updated without having to sit around and wonder what’s going on!

When my offer went unanswered after 24 hours, I contacted the broker and said I’d give them until the afternoon to get back to me Or I’d move to another listing. I did get a response within a few hours.

Heard back, offer too low. Thanks for the advice. Next time I’ll definitely put a time limit on the offer.
