Off to Las Vegas

Hi Everyone,
We're off to Gatwick today, flying out to Las Vegas tomorrow.
We're doing a 2 week self-drive tour taking in Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon & Zion Nat Park.
I have had bursitis in my hip since Xmas and can't see a Consultant til end of May. Not allowed to take anti-inflammatories because of a blood condition so it's all been a bit stressful not to mention painful.
We decided we would have to cancel unless I took a wheelchair (anyone who's been to L.V. knows how much walking you do) so I've agreed to the chair but I'm nervous and self conscious. Youngest DD is in a wheelchair permanently and although she isn't going with us I have always done the pushing before and it feels very uncomfortable with the tables turned. Silly I know but that's how I feel. We're hoping the dry heat will work some magic!

I want a full trip report when you come back LOL

Were doing las vegas around easter next year, same as you a driving tour for just over 2 weeks, taking in zion,bryce,page(lake powell),flagstaff, the grand canyon, hoover dam, and back to Las Vegas.

So please let me know how you get on !!!.

Have an abolutely wonderful time, sounds like you deserve it. We've just returned from LA/Las Vegas, we did a day in the Grand Canyon which was the highlight of my trip.

Carol - don't worry about the chair. I have a painful condition on my feet which makes walking around the parks very painful (walking of any great length is a nightmare) so last year ended up being pushed around Epcot - didn't like the thought of having to do it one bit, but it meant we could go back out to the parks one evening for the fireworks

At least you're going and we hope you have a marvellous (and as pain reduced) time as possible.

Looking forward to hearing about it when you're back.
