off-site then on-site Dining Plan Question

Well, we're in the process of planning a 2 week trip for Dec and I am trying to figure out if there is a way to utilize the dining plan. We are going to be staying off-site in a condo for the first week of our stay and then on-site the 2nd week. We will buy 10 day park hoppers. I wanted to do the dining plan for the on-site portion but since you have to buy your park hoppers to get the dining plan as part of your package, how would I get my park hoppers for the first week of my stay? Is this just impossible or is there a way to do it?

Well, you could flip-flop your weeks. Do Disney first, get your tickets and use them for the 2 weeks.

Or you can just purchase the 1-day ticket needed per person for the second week to get the DP. You can save these tickets to use at a later time, you can even upgrade them later.

Ideally, I would like to flip the stay and do on-site first. But, I got the 40% off code and so that makes me need to swap them We're toying with the idea of going a week later so we can do on-site first but that means we'd be getting home the weekend before Christmas so not a lot of time to get settled and ready (we have 2 little ones). I guess the one day ticket purchase might be an option but seems like it'd almost make the dining plan not worth it at that point.
