Off site restaurants

I am considering the following from Restaurant.com (their 50% off special is on right now). Any thoughts/experiences with these?:

Detroit Joe's
Friday's - Orlando Square
Froggers Grill & Bar Southwest Inc
Blackwater BBQ
American Pie Pizza Co
JT's Sports Bar & Family Restaurant

forget JT's
Friday's is fun...
don't know the others,
but we love the PUB and I think they have offer also.


Just make sure and check where these restaurants are in relation to your home base...you can spend the 50% in time and travel in the Orlando area....

Agreed, Detroit Joes is downtown (Orlando, not Disney, a good 20 to 25 minutes away), and Froggers is on Conroy, also not exactly close. This Fridays is the newest one, out near Florida Mall, also a good 20 to 30 minutes from WDW with traffic.

So, what restaurants on the list are close to DTD? We're going in two weeks so I'm looking for something affordable on a budget.

Thanks, not a problem, I mapped all of the ones I listed. Just looking at quality of food. We will have a rental car. I don't mind driving a bit to experience some good food for a great deal, as we won't be at the parks every day anyway (of our 12 days, we will only be in the parks 5-6).

I've been to the Froggers in Daytona, typical American fare (burgers and such), food was fine but nothing spectacular.

Fridays is Fridays; being new, this one is still very clean and nice-looking. Same chain food you'd get at any of them, tho.

Right outside of the front gate is a Golden Corral, also not far away used to be a Pizza Hut by the Sheraton Safari that had the typical lunch buffet if you could catch it on time. Shoneys is not far either, usually good for the breakfast buffet. There is a pizza place not far from the front gate that is usually kinda easy to find a coupon for that is supposed to be real good.
