Hi all :yay:

I am trying to find a hotel for us (me and hubby) to stay when we go to DLRP in October. I am trying to keep the cost down as much as possible so I am looking at some of the hotels/apartments at Valle de europe. I like the idea of having the mini kitchen so we can make some of our own food. I have been put off by some of the bad reviews for some of them.
Can anyone recommend a good place to stay?

Hi,

We are travelling to DLRP in 9 days wooooo and we are staying off site at one of the disney partner hotels. We are staying at the Magic Circus hotel which has good reviews and we got 4 nights for £352.00 for a family room bed & breakfast (Family Room is a double bed and a set of bunk beds). If you look on TravelRepublic.co.uk they have some really cheap hotels so can sometimes end up being cheaper to book hotel and get ap's depending how long you are visiting for (We got the hotel for £352 and then Anual Passports for £360 for 2 adults and 1 toddler so all together £712.00 when the disneyland website was quoting us £874.00 and that was just with normal park tickets)!!!!!

This might not be as good an option for you but worked really well for us as with the AP's you get EMH (You don't at the Magic Circus with it not being an official Disney Hotel) and plus all the discount you get at shops/restaurants/on future bookings, etc it was definately worth the money to us. We also hope to revisit some time this year hopefully so AP's will come in handy then too.

Hope this helps.

No hotels with mini kitchen I'm afraid - but I've stayed at both the Ibis and the Etap. Nothing fancy, rather tiny "baths", but clean and very close to RER.

I've stayed at the Marriott several times and it wonderful, very roomy with a fully equiped kitchen :thumbsup2

We stayed at the residhome val d'europe last summer. It wasn't anything really special but it was clean and comfortable and suited our needs fine.

oooooH!! This is exactly what we are hoping to do in June. I have booked Magic Circus (on a cancellable rate incase a good deal came up) and intend to get passes. Please come back and write a review of the hotel, esp getting to the parks etc and whether you manage to make it there for EMH:thumbsup2

I have stayed there and it was really quiet on the buses early in the mornings for EMH as most people staying in these 4 hotels arent going in for EMH. We didnt bother with breakfast there (at the time we had the option of booking with or without breakfast) and just headed straight to the parks and then got something to eat in there once it started getting busier

There are some pictures on the Hotel FAQ sticky

Remember you only get EMH with the dream APs not the others

I can endorse this. It is like a small apartment with kitchen/dining/sitting area (sofa converts to double bed) and there is a separate bedroom, bathroom and small entrance area.

In June we are staying at Park & Suite Village at Montevrain (close to Val d'Europe) in a villa which gives three bedrooms, two bathrooms as well as kitchen etc. We have stayed there before and again found it clean and well equipped.

does the residhome studio apartments have a shower? If I book somewhere without a shower hubby will not be happy :rotfl2:

Hi,

I will definitely be back to write a post trip report and will also put a review up on the hotels sticky! :thumbsup2 Keep an eye out and I will answer any questions that you have :-D

We had a shower in our apartment for 5 and I remember being surprised how good it was for such a cheap room:goodvibes

we have stayed @ the Adagio and that was fine too :) we didnt use the shuttle though as it didnt start early enough for us ! so we got the train there and back for a few euros

ideally situated for Disney and Val d'europe shops / eateries and train

will no doubt stay there again @ some point :)

We've stayed in the Ibis and it's basic but fine, but no kitchen (or even kettle).

No use I know for your dates, but if anyone else is interested there is 40% of the Adagio ApartHotel for min 4 night stays until the 30th April if you book by Feb 13 - http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotels-offers/promotion-2412-offre-hotel.shtml - looks pretty nice!

We're tempted but have only stayed 2 nights before and not sure if 4 nights is a bit too long (given we've been twice in past yr!)

You could always go and visit Paris and/or Provins and/or Versailles etc etc if you wanted a change from the parks :thumbsup2

I was thinking this as we didn't get to Paris last time (because we wanted more park time...despite saying it would be too long originally!) - I'd love to go to Versailles in particular, and would be great to have a full week's break!

Go for it ! It's so easy to do and that hotel doesn't look bad especially at that price ;) Have a holiday :goodvibes

How far was the walk from the Adagio to the train station and was it easy to do? I tried looking on the map and it was a bit difficult to tell.

We have stayed at the Ibis which was very basic and had a tiny bathroom and shower but was clean and close to RER. We have also stayed at the Residence Home Business in Montevrain which has a shuttle to DLRP. It has kitchens in the rooms, and the rooms are pretty good sized. There is also a pool and spa but you have to pay extra to use it. The hotel was very nice (4 star), if not that Disneyfied. Here's their website: http://www.residence-home-business-paris-val-europe.federal-hotel.com/page_en_1.html We got a really good deal here at lastminute.com. Although of course you don't get the EMH at either of these hotels.

Good luck!

I haven't been to the Adagio yet (I'm going in April) but I read on a review that it is at the opposite end of the Val D'Europe from the station and that the station is a 10-15 minute walk through the shopping centre. There is a free shuttle bus and the up to date timetable for this is:

http://www.buspeps.fr/fiches_horaires/buspeps_FH50_PA.pdf

Seems not too bad, starts (going out) at 8.45 and finishes (coming back) at 23.35, just kind of infrequent in between!
