Hello,
I'm new here and I think I posted this on the wrong board - sorry. Anyway, we are taking our family to Disney for the first time and have decided to stay off-site. I'm trying to find a hotel with an indoor pool - any suggestions? Thanks!!

Because the weather is so mild, there are very few hotels in Orlando with indoor pools. In fact, I've been researching hotels for 3 months and haven't seen one hotel with an indoor pool. I have seen some rental homes with a screened pool going for around $120/night. Maybe someone else will know of a hotel with an indoor pool.

Most of the rental villa homes have heated outdoor pools for the winter period.

I think there is at least one hotel in Kissimmee with an indoor pool. A friend of mine stayed there years ago at a hotel called Wilson World, which is now an AmeriHost hotel on West Irlo Bronson. I did a search on Amerihost's website and they do list an indoor pool at that location. I personally have never been there so I have no idea if this is a decent hotel or anything, but just wanted to mention it. :)

The Courtyard by Marriott in the Marriott Village has an indoor/outdoor pool. There is a door you swim through to go outside.

Marriott Orlando World Center has a moderate-sized indoor pool in the main building section.

Oasis Lakes is a timeshare resort with 1BR, 2BR & 3BR condos on S. Int'l Dr. The main pool area at the clubhouse includes a nice, heated, indoor/outdoor pool.

Rebann,

I remember looking into this myself a few years ago and it is slim pickins. I would be tempted to ask why you want this if this is your first trip to WDW. Our first four trips to WDW we were at parks non-stop. The first trip we took one afternoon off to go swimming and then a couple "late night dips" I guess I'd be tempted to ask when you're going (what month) - ages of children - and budget. We have stayed at quite a few hotels both on site and off (and I've researched alot) and I'm usually a pool fanatic wherever we go. While there are no indoor pools on site, every resort has heated pools. When it's colder out, they heat them more! Some of the hotel offsite do not heat their pools. You may also want to check the pool hours. For most resorts on site the pools are open very long hours and sometimes 24 hours. If you're staying offsite with an indoor pool that's only open until 9 P.M. you may not get much use out of it.
I am also increasingly disappointed in the indoor pools of new motels. We've stayed in some that the pool is so small if you get more than 10 people in it, it's crowded.

Check the Enclave Suites also. I think it is closer to Universal, though. I am pretty sure that they have an indoor pool.

I agree about the size of some hotel pools. Sometimes they are just big bathtubs!
