Off-site cake/cupcakes

Has anyone ordered a cake or cupcakes off-site? and who do you recommend?
I have ordered a cake from Disney before and it looked good, but the taste was just okay. I am having a welcome/dessert party at our AKL villa the night before my daughter's wedding at Boardwalk and would like the cake or cupcakes taste to be very good. Any ideas????

Yes. I use Sweet by Good Golly Miss Holly for awesome cupcakes. She is a recent winner of Cupcake Wars on Food Network. They have a website.

If you have a car, there is a Sam's not too far. I've also ordered from our local Walmart and there's are pretty. In Oct we picked up a Halloween cake at Winn Dixie and it was very good.

Do you specifically want cupcakes? Someone on the UK board posted ordered a bouquet of cookies to be delivered. It wasn't cheap, but it was gorgeous. He posted a link. It was a couple of months back but if you are interested I will search for the thread and link you to it.

We just returned from FOS on July 25. It was an Eastern. I have the Compass from each day, as well as Kids club each day for 12-14, and 15-17. Let me know if anyone would like them. I can scan them then send out.

Depending on what's available the day you need them I do recommend the Dulce deLeche and the Red Velvet. The High Hat is also pretty awesome.

You'll have to post what you think about the cupcakes you get from Good Golly Miss Holly. I saw that episode of Cupcake Wars and decided that I would have to get by there on some trip to Orlando!

I am getting my boyfriend a cake from Buttercup Cakes... Dani is the owner and she will deliver to WDW for 20 dollars.

The cake will be styled similarly to this with a key lime filling and coconut cake.

Okay, I will. I am exicted to try them, when I called them I expected to have to choose 3 flavors like everyone else has told me, but with them you can pick as many flavors as you like. I am ordering 5 dozen bite size cupcakes in 10 flavors!

Yes, you can go on their website and you can see the flavors that they make for each day. They also have some that they make every day.

Do you have an idea of how long it takes to get there from WDW property? I see it's across town. It would be so nice to run over there and grab half a dozen of them. I'm sure delivery for that would be either not available or very expeinsive. PLUS, I'd like to SEE all of them. I'm hoping to get a GPS for my 40th BD in a few days so I won't get lost anymore and I'd find it.
