My family and I are going to stay off resort with our children because it is going to work out best for our situation. I am planning a trip in June and trying to collect as much information as possible so everything goes smooth. We are looking at having breakfast at one of the character dining experiences if we can get a reservation. I am going to try just about all of them and hopefully find one that works best for us.

I have seen that you get three hours to park at the resort if you don't have a ticket for that day. We are considering doing this one day. But we are also considering doing a breakfast the day of one of our park days. We will be going to MK on the day that we may have breakfast. Let's say we get a reservation at CM or Ohana. We will park at that resort, but can we take transportation directly from there to get to MK or do we need to hop back in the car and find parking at MK for the day?

Even if we can, what is the best advice? Should we just park and transport or go to MK parking? Keep in mind we have two young children and will have a stroller.

Hi, so there’s no exception for “having a ticket that day.”

If you’re eating at a hotel restaurant, you may park there for the duration of your reservation. What you CAN’T do, is use it as theme park parking, especially around MK. Some people will tell you they’ve done it, but it seems to be pretty strict these days.

What I would do is park at the TTC, take the monorail to your breakfast, then take the monorail to MK for the day. Trams are back, which will make the journey to your car easier at day’s end.

@DisneyDadBod I agree with @FCDub, but I wanted to add that at least for our kids riding the monorail or boat was always a highlight of the day. So I'd say park at TTC and leave your car so you don't have to worry about it. From TTC Poly is a short walk but you can also take the resort monorail all the way around if you want. Then you don't have to worry about moving your car after breakfast. I really think the monorail ride to CM is a lot of fun and the kids were always excited seeing the monorail go by during breakfast after their ride over.
