for the last time a DECADE ago today!

Can you believe it!?

For many Guests Epcot has not been the same since.

The Kilter guys were part of the fabric of World Showcase.

Long live the memories of 17 years of Off Kilter doing their thing on The Mill Stage!

I've said it before but I'll say it again, I have never forgiven Disney for pulling the plug on them. They were a HUGE reason why I loved going to Epcot, without them that stage was just a sad reminder of what we once had. It wasn't just about Off Kitler it was about a lot of the regular entertainment that used to exist at Epcot.

For those that missed it, here is their final performance

Personally I was not a big fan of them, BUT I have to agree that they were a key part of Epcot as was much of the other talent that is gone. I did stop and watch the show and enjoy a beer. I am a big fan of traditional Irish music and they were worth watching.
Epcot has been on a downward spiral as far as I am concerned even before they were cut.

The F&W festival is a shadow of what it once was. Its not different than every other festival they have - some of the other may actually be better.

Personally I think Epcot should be part of any ticket - maybe make it after 4PM or some such - so you don't need a hopper.
Why would I pay extra to go to Epcot which is pretty lame and then pay inflated prices for food and drink?
They always seem to suck me in for the nostalgia of what it once was- but no more.

We miss you all so much!! Big mistake at the time and it just went downhill from there.

I keep remembering all the live entertainment that was, and now isn't. Off Kilter, Beatles/60s groups in the back of the UK pavilion, the Living Statues in France, the... I don't know what they were called, but they were in Italy, dressed in all black and white, looked like a cross between jesters and mime... The belly dancers in Morocco, the oompah band that performed outside in the German pavilion (so much fun doing the chicken dance with strangers!), the drummers in Japan, and the candy maker, the drummers at the African Outpost, acrobats in the courtyard in China (are they still there?), mariachi band in Mexico. These entertainers played all the time, multiple times daily. It made that part of Epcot truly a World SHOWCASE, instead of a drag around a circle eating/drinking/buying too much. Sigh...

With intoxicated guests floating around too... :drinking:
