Of ALL the DVC resorts which room has the best view?

If you had to kill 2 or 3 hours on the balcony of your room (if it has one) in which resort would you rather it be? What hotel, what view? Is BLT's theme park view better than AKV's savannah view? How about Aulani's ocean view compared to VGC's theme park view? Is there anything to look at over in VB or HHI?

I'm looking forward to taking in the ocean view at VB this summer but I think for me the view of MK from BLT takes some beating.

AKL savannah view for a relaxing, quiet 2-3 hours. But I also have another favorite....the balconies overlooking the pool in HHI, I could sit out there for hours, watching the kids play in the pool, listening to the happy sounds all around me.

I have to second this. On our trip to WDW in December 2010 I just sat on our balcony at the AKL watching the animals on our last day there. We had to be out by 11:00 so I just enjoyed the view.

Our favorite view is the boardwalk view at BWV

Me too. I love the savanna view but my all time, number one favorite view is looking across the boardwalk, seeing Space Ship Earth in the far distance while I sip an adult beverage. Before I bought my BoardWalk points I remember walking the boardwalk and looking up at the people sitting on their balconies. I so wished I could have that same luxury. And now I do! And it's sweet.

Depends on your desired view. I love sitting on the porch at OKW watching the golfers or watching the boats go by on the Trumbo Canal. To me, that beats a BW view any day.

I love the savanna view, but my wife loves it even more. She could sit there all morning with a cup of coffee and watch the animals. The savanna view we had in november was even great at night. We could see the fire pit, and were just high enough to see some fireworks.

We agree here. Those balconies are huge and just seem more relaxing.

During our recent trip I slept on the pullout in the living room at BWV just so I could fall asleep looking at an illuminated Spaceship Earth and wake up to the same view. At night I could reassure myself that I was REALLY there and in the morning I could celebrate that I was STILL there and ready to begin another day in the Happiest Place on Earth.

I had a BWV room one time where I could see Spaceship Earth from bed too, that was great! I haven't stayed at BLT but I imagine the upper floor MK views are spectacular. I like the water views at OKW too.

Well I haven't stayed at BLT TP view but the VGC view of DCA is amazing! My favorite so far. It is like being in the park with the sights and sounds. Boardwalk is also awesome. I guess I prefer action over quiet.

My view, four best views on sight in view order:

1 BWV boardwalk view. You can't beat looking across the lake and seeing Spaceship Earth.

2. AKL savanna view. A world of its own.

3. BLT MK view. But you need high floor. This would be tied for second if not for the risk of having more of a parking lot view than MK view.

4. SSR Congress Park, looking across the lake at Downtown Disney, stunning.

I think I'd have to say the view of DCA from the VGC is the most spectacular view for me, followed by the Savanna view at Kidani.

I just love sitting on the balcony following CA Screamin around it's track. I just love the sounds of people in the park having fun on the rides. Then the contrast in the late evening after the park has closed, to see Mickey's Fun Wheel of Death illuminated. Then in the morning to watch the routine of getting the park ready for opening. I just love those sights and sounds.

The savannah view is completely different, but it is so relaxing. I hope to be enjoying both views within the next 97 days, but who's counting! :rolleyes1

Right on! Morning, noon or night...pick any two hours, this is my favorite:cloud9:

Hard to beat the view from the balcony of a Beach Cottage on VB! Peaceful and big enough to share with the whole family.

Any view of Bay Lake is pretty incredible...seems like you're somewhere else.

Ocean view at Aulani was pretty awesome, sunsets each night that are mesmerizing.

VB Ocean view is relaxing, depending on the room.

Also, we used to love SSR view of Downtown/West Side at night. You can only request this view, it's not a room class, and it's harder to get it these days. Plus, Disney planted so many trees that they haven't trimmed that now the view is blocked by the Amazon-like forest over there. To get the views you had in the first years of SSR you need to ask for rooms on the first floor closest to the DTD Marketplace side. There are fewer trees and you can look under them as their canopy starts around the 2nd floor.
