Odds of Getting new Contemp room in january?

we will be absing our AP's and hitting WDW again in January. we loved the poly, but really like the looks of the new contemp rooms. since the south wing will be open around haloween, and we're not headed to WDW until 1/24, our odds of getting a new contemp room are pretty good, right?
now we just hafta figure out if we wanna leave the warm comforts of the poly to try something new.
