Odds of booking two 2-bedroom villas at BCV 7 months out

My family and I are going for a long weekend, 4 nights, in early December of 2017. (Thinking December 7-11th, 2017). There are 9 of us.

I would need 2 2-bedroom units to house us all comfortably (they all want to stay at BCV, which doesn't have a Grand Villa).

We own at OKW...

So, what would the odds be of booking two 2-BR villas at BCV at the 7month window? I'm thinking of maybe booking a GV at OKW just to guarantee lodging. And then trying to switch at the 7 month window over to BCV. I'm just worried that getting two of them will be tricky...

Any suggestions or tips? Any idea if the chances will be good?

I would secure a room at OKW for sure. I have had decent luck switching to BCV, but I always book 1-bedrooms, which I think are in less demand. It is worth a shot! Get the GV for sure though, best to have something in place.

I think the challenge is wanting 2. There are a good number of dedicated 2BRs at BCV (78). The lock-offs are going to all be tied up in Studio bookings, realistically speaking.

If BCV is really what you want, you could do the "rental point swap". Rent BCV points to get the ressie you want, then rent out your OKW points.

That will probably cost a little over 4$ per point, so it may be a hefty fee for 2 two bedrooms, but it is an option.

Early December - two villas at BCV. Near zero. (and not significantly better at BWV).

Time of year you want is among the extremely high DVC demand times at WDW and getting even one 2BR at any near park resort can be very difficult. BCV has the added issue this year that it is being renovated and thus there is a risk some of the rooms could be out of service, and thus not even available to be reserved, during that time.

You should book that GV at OKW now (meaning immediately) to assure having a room because even those will likely disappear before 7 months out (the ones in the near Hospitality House booking category are already gone, and there are already several dates near the ones you want gone for other OKW GVs).

I would say early December the chances are near zero. If you wanted one maybe for only 4 nights you could get it with a wait list - but two? IDK.
