So, let me start by saying two things:
1) I would never recommend someone do this. But, I encountered someone who was asking about it and, since I'm a total nerd it will really bug me if I'm not completely accurate, even regarding a scenario that wouldn't make sense to do
2) I did check the ticket sticky first & didn't see this addressed (probably bc it's a really silly thing to do, lol )

So, the question is, if you have two separate ticket media, as in two one-day passes, can you use both on the same day, at two different parks? Again, I know this is silly, and I would never recommend, but for the sake of me explaining to someone else I just want to make sure I'm 100% accurate. Obviously, I know that you can't use two entitlements from a single multi-day non-parkhopper pass on the same day, but just wasn't sure of the exact policy on this. I would imagine you'd be able to since Disney would be making even more $$ off of you, but I just like to know my facts, lol.

TIA! :flower3:

Yes, I witnessed a whole family doing this out of not knowing any better. and I was secretly heartbroken that they didn't know about hoppers. With a free day in Orlando, they toured Epcot on a whim, and said they had so much fun, they decided to also buy tickets to MK to end the evening there. Although in this case, I'm guessing they didn't link their tickets to any online account, so I'm not even sure Disney would know.

I can't imagine Disney would care if someone wanted to purchase 2 tickets and occupy the space of 1 all day. If they could sell this as an option, I'm sure they would.

Although scheduling FPs in 2 parks the same day would have some appeal.

Yes, you can.
AND, considering it is actually not much more expensive than buying a 1-day Park Hopper,
getting to be able to book two sets of 3 FPs in advance for the same day, might just make it an "advantage."

Their oricing structure has now come to this, eh?

It's not quite that bad, yet-- adding park hopper to a 1-day ticket (under the current structure) is $55; a one-day ticket is anywhere from $109 to $129 (all prices pre-tax).

The new pricing structure (and ticket expiration policy) is crappy, but not that crappy. (Just don't give Disney management any ideas...)

You'd be amazed at what people don't realize they can do (or can't do). Even long time park goers.
We recently went for a week with some friends. These friends have been going to Disney regularly for years. Lived in FL before we met, and we've been friends with them for 20 years now if that tells you anything.
They didn't know you could add a day to a ticket until our trip this past Oct. They had bought 3-day tickets and decided to stay a day longer and talked about going to buy a 1-day ticket when I stopped them and explained how they could add a day to their current tickets instead. All the other trips they'd done when they extended their trips they had bought more tickets.
To go even further, this was the wife's 3rd trip this year and she realized how much she'd have saved had she gotten an AP and I told her that she can always apply the cost of her ticket towards an AP, which she also had no idea about. Guess what she did before she left?
And by the way, we now have a girls only trip planned for MLK weekend :)

I would imagine you could buy as many tickets as you wished and use a day from them as many times as you wish in the same day. Disney is not going to tell someone they can't throw away their money. Using multiple days from the same ticket to circumvent paying for a parkhopper (upgrading say a 4 day ticket to a 5 day ticket is cheaper than adding parkhopping) loses disney money so that's why it's a no-go. Follow the money to see what they prevent and what they don't care about.

I would hope having two separate tickets could entitle you to 3 advance fastpasses on each.

Whew, good point! I know a lot of people out there have a lot of money to spend and probably would be willing to fork over that kind of cash in order to get three fresh Fastpasses. Not for me, but given the price to stay Concierge Level and add the three extra FP -- or to hire a VIP tour guide for the day, this isn't that far off in cost.

Sadly, the people I overheard weren't being strategic. They just knew they had a once-in-a-lifetime free day to spend in Orlando. The woman was even a little sheepish as she held her tickets, saying, "I know it seems kind of extravagant, but I just couldn't leave without seeing the Magic Kingdom." I was half tempted to tell her to go back to the ticket booths, but she only had a few minutes before fireworks started and they seemed so happy.

You'd be amazed at what people don't realize they can do (or can't do). Even long time park goers.

They must be glad they had you to let them know. Wow... next time they should ask you for your advice first!

That was exactly my thought. With what people are paying for Conceirge plus the extra 3 FPs per day, we probably aren't far off of being able to justify a second set of tickets entirely. Plus it would have the functionality of being able to be scheduled and manipulated on MDE without help from the Concierge staff.

You’d have to create a new MDE or have 2 profiles for each park goer as MDE only allows you to schedule 3 FP for each profile it MDE.
That's what I was thinking, even with 2 sets of tickets I couldn't think of a way that you could get 2 sets FP on 1 day in 2 different parks (short of using the CL program)

I don't believe this would be breaking any rules that I can think of. There's no fine print that says a person can only appear on one MDE account is there?
