Going begining of Oct. want to stay @ Poly, WL, or Contempory? Call everyday but no AP rates yet. Worried they will not happen so has anyone seen great rates without them for room only????
I'm going in October as well. The best rate I was able to get so far is AAA, but it's only about 15% (better than no discount though).
Check www.mousesavers.com from time to time. It's probably the best place you can go to find WDW discounts, and it's updated frequently. I usually get e-mail notifications for new discounts, and haven't gotten one in a while.
I just called yesterday for AP rates for late October/early November and the CM said, "I just asked my supervisor that question yesterday, and I've been told not expect anything for October until August or even September." I'm getting worried. Do you think things are so booked that they've decided they don't need to offer AP discounts to get the resorts filled? I must admit, I'm part of the problem. I've got one reservation for Oct/Nov (Halloween) and another one (with two rooms) just after Thanksgiving. . . hoping to later call and get my AP discounted rates applied to those bookings. Has anyone else heard anything from CM's?
Im going to ask my friend who is a cm since Im going to try and take the kids up 10/20 for the halloween thing and stay at her resort for the night. Im interested in what they have to offer too.

Last year AP rates for October weren't released until August 28. So, if they do release AP rates for October the CM you spoke to was probably right with the August/September time frame. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, huh?
Sometimes it's worth getting the AP just for the discount. Also, there was a Disney Visa room only discount recently (in the winter). It might be worth it to pick up one of those just so you'll be ready.
