If you had to choose between going some time in October or going the week of Thanksgiving, which would you pick and why?

Do the parks get crowded around Thanksgiving? Is there a special meal that day with the characters?

Thanks for any advice and info!!

I would choose late Oct. hands down - In fact, that's my favorite time to go. The weather is great, you have Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, Food & Wine Fest & lighter crowds (well, weekdays anyways, weekends see more traffic as folks close by like to enjoy those events on weekends also)

Thanksgiving week will be much busier from kids having a school break.

I went this year for Halloween and it was great. My son who had just turned 4 thought every day was Halloween. We trick or treated at the MNSSHP at Seaworld on Sat and then at AK and DTD on Sun which was Halloween. He wanted to go and get more candy on Monday and I had to tell him that Halloween was over.

:sunny: I'd go with late October, around Thanksgiving will be much busier. This will be our first time going in October and it sounds like a great time to go. The weather will be very nice, MNSSHP will be going on, there's the F&W Festival.

I would pick the last week of October... I love that time of year, the F&W Festival, the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, the weather, and a MAJOR LACK of bugs at night all make for a great vacation!

Good Luck! :wave2:

I'm going the first 2 weeks of Oct. because I want my son to go to MNSSHP. It sounds like a great time to be there.
