October Dis Meet at Mall Of America/ Minnesota

Hi everyone! Just trying to get head count. I think we have only 4 of us for sure for Friday night. Please confirm if anymore are coming!

Then we have a bunch for MOA - we will meet at Rotunda at the MOA at 1 p.m. for scavenger hunt! I will be wearing a black sweater with jeans and a red tank underneath. My cell is 651-331-1752 if anyone gets lost!

Hi guys I'm so glad you found this! The other thread was on the Community Board and it was about regional differences. A couple people posted and it ends up we lived at one time in the same town, WBL, and graduated from same school, although they are younger than I am

We were thinking about meeting at Donatelli's in WBL sometime this fall. We would just have to look at dates. And I would love the kids to come. Mine are 8, 10 and 12 and have been raised with a love of WDW and Walt!

We went to the State Fair yesterday. I haven't been there in years and couldn't believe how expensive everything was. We went to Big Time Rush and the kids really enjoyed the concert.

Ok, what does everyone think about meeting on a Saturday in October? Are people traveling over the MEA days?

Hello All-

We have never participated in a DIS meet but I have often thought of oranizing one- would love to meet up with some local folks who share our love of Disney. We are me( DW 41), DH(43), DS(9), and DD(7). We will be at WDW Oct 13-25 for DS to turn 10- ( conveniently taking advantage of MEA)- Has there been a date picked for this year? Is there room for 4 more???

My wife and I live a few minutes from the Mall of America. We saw that there is a new Disney Store opening soon on the first floor near Rainforest Cafe. It will be one those new ones that is trying to have the Apple Store appearance.

I asked the manager at the old Disney store that is still there and he said that there is a soft opening on October 12 and the grand opening is October 29th. He said that there will be special guests at the grand opening, but wouldn't elaborate.

This is taken form the second floor with my iphone, so sorry about the quality.

Since my wife and I will be there on October 29th for the grand opening (as long as that date still holds, it is not mentioned on any official websites yet), if anyone wants to meet up we will be there.

Yup, the old store is still open. It is still full of freight. I noticed that they had vinylmation traders in a case on the counter. If thats your thing...
