October Crowd 4/5 with older father?

I am taking my 83 year old father to the Food and Wine Festival in October. He is FL resident and he and my mother use to go all the time. I have only been during Spring Break and Christmas. We are staying for 4 nights.

I know my planning will be different going with my 83 year old dad vs my 18 year old. So how different will crowds be. I know levels 8 and up. Will levels 4 and 5 have 30 minute waits?

He wants to ride Seven Dwarfs..was down when he went last year..

We are doing 2 days at Epcot. Two days at MK (one day will be Keys to the Kingdom tour)..

Having gone with older parents here are some things that we ran into.

1. Unwillingness to rent an ECV or wheelchair even though they were getting worn out and sore very early on.
2. Frequent breaks and I mean a lot of them.
3. Not able to do several parts of the tour (Yuletide Fantasy) and the walking it entails.

The Food and Wine is great for strolling around, and sampling. If you have a Chase card (Some years they have only accept Disney Visa I have heard), take advantage of the lounge.

The best thing I can tell you is to do as little planning as you can and things will work out.

The only thing to be careful of is something like a marathon weekend that draws extra crowds, but I don't know offhand of anything that weekend. One the whole Epcot will be a mint more crowded than it often is given F&W, but still very manageable. MK should be much better overall, even given that I might aim to hit the Seven Dwarfs much earlier in the day or Fastpass it if at all possible. Aside from it and a few other really sought after ones in MK rides and wait times shouldn't be too bad at all.

I would avoid f&w on a Friday night as well as weekends, it gets VERY crazy.
