...soooooooo we were heading to Hollywood Studios from Epcot after a delicious meal at Via Napoli....my goodness, how have I missed that pizza for nine years, pizza was awesomeness on a delicious crust...so we had a bunch of pizza left and had a friend who is a college intern at Disney join us for a free meal..lol...
so we had a half a box full of pizza she was going to take back to her living quarters but we would have to make a stop to drop it off at our CB room and put in the fridge...so we hopped on the skyliner at Epcot and headed on our way.. Skyliner is the greatest thing since flight of passage....game changer.. as we made our way I started to muse on how the make the most of our time at Hollywood Studios as we would only have a couple of hours. mmmmmm maybe I could jump off at the Riviera Station, run to our room in Jamaica, deliver said pizza to the fridge, and head to the Caribbean beach station....and maybeeeee I could beat the skyliner to the station..mmmmmm...NAHHHHHH... way out of shape right now...but maybe my 15 yo slender sophomore could do it..He was up to the challenge
so head loads off at the Riviera station and was on his way...it is a pretty slow turn so he had a good head start...lost him somewhere over Aruba (ha?) and then picked him up again as we were over Jamaica and we had a little distance on him.... He was doing his darndest to catch up, but there is no direct line to run and the road between CB and the station was a little busy...we beat him by about 30 seconds.....He said he got a little off track finding the room and that may have made the difference..unfortunately, he didn't want to reprise the run and this was our last night on our trip...(btw, don't you love Magical Express pick ups at 3 am??)
so I am now challenging somebody to try to complete this trek themselves and let me know how it goes. If you decide to undertake this challenge, here are the rules:
1. CB to Riviera or reversed is accepted.
2. must obey traffic signals and stop for traffic
3. don't get in anybody's way.(told my son not to run over anyone)
4. must go into a room at Jamaica or Aruba and place an object of someone in your party in the fridge to prove they went to the room
5. finish will be at the start of the Que at entrance of the station.
I am calling this the Grex Challenge for my son who attempted this...Good luck ...and God Speed!!! maybe i will design a trading pin
