October at the Fort?

October is our favorite time to go. Great weather! Warm during the day cool at night. Oh, when I think of what we consumed at the food and wine festival it makes my stomach hurt. Yuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmm!

I'm not going to mention how the "wine" (ok, I didn't consume wine) hurt the next day...lol ;)

I will probably get them today. I'm on the phone for dining right now, but with the pin code expiring in a day, the wait it terrible!

Edited: I forgot about the 180 days! I have to wait until April 24th to make dinner ressies.

The tickets for the MNSSHP don't go onsale until May 1. I too am counting down the days until I am 180 out. Mickey Canada-we are going to miss you by 1 day. We are checking in on the 18th.

We are going to MNSSHP ....but I've realized a problem. When the tickets go on Sale May 1st, the family is going to be in Puerto Vallarta Mexico for 10 days. Do the tickets sell out so fast that I should have my parents maybe call for me?

Seabee, I wish I could stay till Sunday but it's a long 20+ hr drive home back to Windsor, Ontario.

I'm not sure about what I'm going to do on the drive down. I've never driven the whole way at once ...but I know lots of people who do. Our last drive we drove all the way to Valdosta on the first day and the last 3-4 hours the next day.

Red Bull, Java Monster, 5 Hour Energy, Red Line, and Full Throttle with a side of Espresso....2 of each ought to get you through a 20 hr drive.

I had been to another resort in October and it was our family's favorite trip. I would go again at that time of year in a heartbeat, but the teaching position I have now prevents it.

I would say you will probably be fine when you get back. But... some ticket scalper but come along and buy up all the tickets then you would hate Mr. Goofy. So I would have mom call or go online to buy them especially if your going Halloween night.......... Denise

I was just talking with my wife about our trip and she doesn't want to do a full drive. She would rather we left 3am, drive till 9pm, take a break and do the last 3/4 hours on the Friday. She wants to set up during daylight ....not after 15 hrs of driving. She's probably right because our tempers would be short and we'd probably kill each other.

Normally we're pretty in-tune with each other for setting up. We've gone camping with friends and they don't have the rhythm and it seems like chaos. Where we trip up is the establishing the tarps. I'm gonna change that by buying a 12x12 EZ up canopy. It should do the job with little aggrevation. Cabella's here I come.

WOW, and I thought I had a long drive! We always stop and do the last 4 hours on our check in day. Your right, it makes a much nicer set up;) For the MNSSHP, you will probably be just fine buying them after your trip. Last year we had said we weren't going to do the party(we were being cheap). Well, on the night of the party we had been at the luau and were coming back via the monorail. When we came down the ramp at MK and all the smoke and lights and music were going I was bummed. So DH being the great guy he is said to check if there were any available-and there were. That was the night of the party on a Friday. We were there right around the same time you will be. I would say if you don't get them right on the first you should still be fine, but, definately buy them before you go down. They are cheaper, and then you are gauranteed to get in.

Mickey Canada, where abouts are you in Ontario? We also have a 20 hour drive.
