I realize that most everyone knows that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, but it is also the month of awareness for two other things very personal to me:

Down Syndrome Awareness Month

National Down Syndrome Society


Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month

National SHARE Office


So, make yourselves aware of these things, too!

Have you heard of Ups for Downs? It is a Downs Syndrome organization.
I don't have the website with me. We have a few Down Syndrome kids at our school in mainstream classes.
I am in a PTA committee at my kids school called the Exceptional Child Committee. Me and another mom just started co-chairing the committee this school yr. The other mom I co-chair with has a child with Downs and she is very active with making Downs Syndrome awareness at our school. We even have a big bulletin board up at school that has a big Downs Syndrome awareness poster and some other Down Syndrome brochures that this mom decorated the board with.
