October 9, 2015 Cruise to Nowhere (San Diego) - Disney Wonder

Who else is going on the October 9, 2015 cruise out of San Diego, to just loop around?

It's my first Disney cruise so not sure what to expect.

I read a trip report about this cruise so it seems exciting!

We have main seating (not sure if there are two seatings for this short of a cruise) for dinner so we are excited!

What's the earliest time we can get on the ship? This is our first cruise, so no priority boarding.

I am going with my husband, DD and my brother on the weekend following. This is our first cruise as well on Disney. My hubby and I did a cruise on Royal 10 years ago but first for my brother and daughter. I am looking forward to it.

I am not sure how Disney does their boarding. I assume the suites will get priority or the concierge level. I don't think we find out until about a month out from the cruise. I assume. I booked through DVC so not sure if that makes a difference for our boarding.

Hubby and I will be cruising (although he doesn't know it yet).
I'm excited as this is the only way we'll be able to take a Disney cruise (he had dialysis 3xweek and the Cruise line is not contracted with any dialysis companies to offer the services onboard like other lines do).
That being said, I'm totally excited even if just for two nights.
We love cruising. But most important, we are a Disney Family.


I've heard about the Fish Extenders, and would love to participate... Any help in getting started would be greatly appreciated.

As to Boarding the Ship, I checked and looks like as we'll be sailing at 4pm, estimated boarding time is 1:00pm.
I've a girlfriend who's been on a number of Disney cruises, and who'll be going on a Cruise to Nowhere from San Diego on May 5th.... 4pm sailing with 1pm boarding. She says its great because you explore and grab a bite to eat before setting out.

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS where FE began years ago.

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin. Other information you would like to share such as first names, ages of child participants, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one seems to be coming forward to organize a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right in this thread.

There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS.
