Hi Everyone,

Me and my wife are on this cruise, booked what seems like an age ago, but only just found this thread. It's our first Cruise (never mind Disney Cruise) and we are travelling over from the UK for it.

Any experienced cruisers, what's my chances of a Palo Brunch reservation when my window opens in July?

Any guesses about what kind of excursions DCL may offer in San Diego. I recently found out we are actually going to San Diego this July. My DH will be attending a conference, and I will be doing some fun stuff with the kids during the day. Just trying to decide if we should see certain attractions this summer or wait till October.

I would assume there will be one to Sea World and probably a trolley tour of some type. Let me see if I can find anything on another cruise line that goes there. Usually they are similar.

If you look on Princess cruises - they have a whole list they offer in San Diego. It will probably be similar.

Hi everyone! My friend and I just booked! Umm, I guess we couldn't wait until our Dream cruise in December! We cruised on the Wonder October 2011, then booked the Dream for December 2012. "Somehow" this cruise appeared on my computer screen and we went for it! This will be our 5th Disney cruise.

For those Canucks on this sailing, dcl has released Canadian rates for this sailing. We booked using an obb and booked day 1 - our existing rate was $300 less than the discounted rate. Those of you who booked later or without an obb will want to look into this.

They've finally posted port adventures for San Diego. http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/cruises-destinations/shore-excursions/search/

I don't think we'll be booking through Disney for them though. $129 per adult for 6 hours at SeaWorld seems like a lot when adult tickets only cost $73 at the door. I know transportation is included in the Disney excursion, but even then, a taxi from the port shouldn't be more than about $30.

Am I missing a reason why people would prefer to book through Disney instead of plan a visit on their own?

The reason to book through DCL - paranoia that they will miss the ship. In some places, where language or culture could pose a barrier, then yes, a DCL excursion makes sense. In the USA...not so much....just my opinion.

We go to San Diego all the time and we are comfortable knowing our way around. That may not be the case for some passengers and it is more convenient to book DCL transportation than try to find their own transportation.

We won't be booking a DCL excursion in San Diego either.
