Welcome. We do have a meet & greet - it will be at 3PM on the first day in the Promenade Lounge - looking forward to meeting you!

Well, I am trying to get ready for this cruise and it's not going as planned. I can't get motivated to sew my long list of stuff I have planned. My daughter (who is 3) is not potty training at all and I might not get to go for half the cruise because of work!!!

Ginger and I (she is traveling with me) work the same schedule at a hospital where only 2 nurses are on staff at night in our unit. We had worked it out that one person was going to step up and work the night shift for us so we would only have to cover for one other person the four days we would need off. Well, that person quit and now we are even more short staffed then we were when we booked the trip! So they could totally deny our time off and we would have to meet the boat on Wed in SF. That would work, but it would totally suck for us.

So, I guess that is why I am bummed and can't get motivated to sew. It is a real possiblity that we will miss half the week and half the fun. I would almost be tempted to cancel it all together.

Bummer! I hope they honor your vacation days! Sending out the hiring vibes!

I am not trying to be a downer - and I hope you can go for the entire cruise but I would contact DCL - I am not sure you are allowed to get on in SF and off in LA without touching a distant foreign port - Ensenda is not considered one to my knowledge. Just check so there are no surprises Sending Pixie Dust!

Well I got approval from Scott Kelby and Company to lead a photowalk on the Disney Wonder! This is the 5th annual walk and as far as I know we are the only walk on a cruise ship!!!

It is free to join us. The walk takes place on Oct 13th while we are at dock in Ensenada.

Okay- registered for the photowalk. I also talked with my manager and she is doing everything she can to get us off for that few days!!!!!! Yeah. So everything should happen okay. OK, so I had an idea for my Fish Extender gifts and I'm kind of excited about it. I made a "prototype," so to speak, and I think I need to tinker a little bit, but the general idea is still there. My son liked it, so I guess if nothing else the kids will be impressed, lol. (Of course, he doesn't know why i made it. I still haven't told them we're going on a cruise!) I hope no one else is using the same idea because their's would probably look a lot better, haha!

I'm with you Flower!!! I can't wait, but I don't want to wish my life away!! And therefore the cruise (and the rest of my vacation..!! )
But I am on the countdown, I must admit - 37 days until I fly out to the USA!!!
