Hi again you all make me feel so good I hope we meet some of you. I guess we will be talking for a long time. :wave2:

Oh no we where on page 2.

Yes we will be talking, for a long, long time...... :thumbsup2. I hope we will all get to meet. The disney cruise we did before we all met up for the sail away party and there was also a Dis party in the Walt Suite, it was alot of fun and met lots of great people. I was still a little sea sick but it was still alot of fun.

Questions for all....

1. Will you be getting up at 3:00 a.m. EST to book your excursions, PALO, spa treatments, etc??? Yes for me!

2. Will you fly/drive in the night before our cruise leaves? We will fly in Friday night, staying at the Hyatt at the airport and taking the DCL bus.

3. Will you stay over Saturday night and go home on Sunday? Yes, we are planning on going to the Poly on Saturday and spending a little time at MK. Can't be that close and not see the castle. We are dying to try the Poly!

4. What is the most desired excursion that you want to do? Jury is out, I need to do some research on the beaches since DS will be 8 and I'm not sure what else he would enjoy!

Yes for me, too!

2. Will you fly/drive in the night before our cruise leaves?
We are flying in the Saturday before the cruise, will spend the week at WDW, not doing parks each day, but we will have a mother load of DVC points to use by then! Thinking about a deluxe resort, on points, during the week and DVC on weekend to save points. (never thought that would be my thought pattern, lol.)

3. Will you stay over Saturday night and go home on Sunday?
Will most likely fly home on Saturday, but may spend Saturday night in Buffalo and do some shopping before heading home, that is if we still have any money left.

4. What is the most desired excursion that you want to do?
The only one that is catching my eye at this point is the speed boat/lagoon, in st. marteen. maybe just a trip up the tram in st. thomas.

1) Definatley getting up at 3AM for excursions and Palo

2) We will fly in Friday, not sure where we will stay yet, if we get a early enough flight we will spend Friday at WDW and stay at one of the values Friday and then drive to the Port Saturday morning. We will rent a car.

3) No we will fly home Saturday

4) Parasailing at CC, it was cancelled last time when we had it booked so DD and I really want to do it this time.

(New to this board!) We will be on the cruise too! We are celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary (it's actually on the 23rd) and my daughter's 12th birthday on Halloween. Do you know if they do anything really special for Halloween on board? We are in stateroom 6050 right now.

We were in WDW at Easter Break staying at the Yacht Club and on the last day of our 8 days we bought DVC. I'm using some of the points for Disneyland in August but none for the cruise. We'll probably stay at Saratoga Springs after the cruise for a few days.

I'm in the same quandry of taking my two kids out of school. They'll be in Fifth and Sixth Grades and are in private school so there are no monies lost to the school if I take them out (only my monies). Hey, I only have a 25th Wedding Anniversary once Right?

Welcome Lori and family!! Welcome to the DISboards and I'm so happy you are on the Halloween 2007 cruise! :grouphug: Also congrats on 25 years being married.... I'm humbled!

I'll add you to our roll call - but first.. I see your DD (12) has her birthday on Halloween and DS , will he be 10 or 11?

My son will be 8, in 2nd Grade then and I have no qualms taking him out of school. Since the prices during holidays and especially Spring Break (we were on the 4/23 4 night Wonder cruise) are soooo expensive and DS is a good student - so off we go!

The Halloween stuff is a bit lame, or so I've heard, but I, for one, will be shipping good Halloween treats to the ship in advance! We'll put together our own Trick or Treat for the kids!

This 7 night cruise was $400 more at Halloween vs. the 4 night cruise at Spring Break time.... and I got a total on board credit of $400 from DCL and my TA for rebooking on board... so... it's actually the same price for us! :thumbsup2 and three more nights, way more interesting ports... I can't wait! :dance3: We are in room 6078!

Welcome aboard! We all look forward to getting to know you!

We have a great group going here and I think it is going to be alot of fun. Sounds like quite a few of us on deck 6.

Look forward to chatting with you.

I have a question on rebooking and your board credit. Can you tell me if you dont mind how you received a total of 400 BC. I was on 4/29 and booked an 07 , 7 day cruise and received 200.00 but then had TA transfer to her. I looked up my ress and noticed I have 150.00.
thank you :sunny: :sunny:

Good Morning! I got the $200 OBC from DCL and another $200 from my TA. Not sure what it was all comprised of because in one of her emails, prior to my confirmation for the Halloween cruise she said I was also getting a $25 credit for referring business her way.... My confirmation says $200 DCL and $200 from her.

I've referred a couple of people so perhaps it was $150 and another $50 for referrals? :confused3 I'm not 100% sure!

Good job keeping us on the first page Kim2!!

I've been home the last two days with a sinus infection/pink eye.... grrrrrrr.

I've felt better today and got some cleaning done... now I'm ready to go make spaghetti for dinner! Yum!!!

Hope everyone has a great evening!

I sent you a Pm with additional question. thanks a bunch

We'll it looks like we have a lot of early bookers like me. I thought I'd be the only crazy one booking 17 months out! It should be fun and look forward to meeting everyone on board. Let me give you some background. I'm from a town a little south of San Francisco. I mostly go to Disneyland at least once every two years, but you couldn't tell that from my house which is "tastefully" decorated with disney stuff. We went to WDW in April and stayed at the Yacht Club, at the end of the vacation I bought into DVC, oh well, hindsight... We have a short Disneyland trip coming up in August, but we are really looking forward to DCL in October. I like the idea of paying a bit each month so it doesn't hurt so much. My husband & I will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary (honeymooned in Disneyland!) on the cruise and my daughter will be turning 12 (6th grade) on Halloween. My son will be 10 (5th grade). We will probably add a day or two after for WDW. My kids normally make friends fairly easily so I'm not worried about them, in fact, I keep finding little snippets of things that they can do on board. I CAN'T WAIT!
:sunny: :sunny:

Good Morning everyone!!!!

My kids made lots of friends when we cruised last October, many they still keep in touch with on MSN. There is so much to do they where never bored. We had to make them have dinner with us or we wouldn't have ever seen them.

Funny thing is I have 2 other cruises booked between now and next October and I spend most of my time on this board.. :woohoo:

Time to get ready for work, Have a great day all.

Kim

Babs417, some of us booked on the day the cruise went on sale back in the early spring, lol. I was on the phone at 10 am with DCL booking "my" stateroom 6515, sideways cat 11. Talk about booking early, I wanted to book at 3 am when the dates opened, but as my card was expiring at the end of the month, the website would not let me complete the booking, it kept saying that my card had already expired, agh!!!!!
