October 25, 2014 Fantasy Western "The Not So Scary Halloween Cruise 2014"

I've been MIA here a while. Life, can't believe how quickly time is passing, or seems to have been these past few months. First week here of my kids being out of school and it just doesn't seem right. Every morning I want to wake my little guy up and say "Hurry up, get ready for school", then I remember, Oh yes, it's July .

9yr old Leaves for Camp on Monday and will be gone for 11 days. He will be celebrating his birthday at camp and I'm trying my best to come up with a gift I can send him with that I won't have to worry about getting lost or broke before making it back home. Any ideas? We'll have his party when he gets home later this month. He wants a Police person to come to our house to talk to him and his friends about what it's like to be a police officer, how you become a police officer ect..... Pretty brilliant idea coming from an almost 10 yr old. Now I have to find such an officer

He's looking forward to this cruise, he looks forward to anything Disney. Daily I hear "Look mom, there's a Mickey Head" weather he's looking at the clouds or in a bowl of soup, or the Fire works on Canada Day ect..... Funny kid
I guess I should start paying down this cruise!!!

He sounds like my kinda boy . I do that to my DH. See a airplane leaving the airport, I tease they are flying to Disney, whether they are heading in that direction or not, or a plane coming OH they are coming from Disney. I am so ready to cruise .

We are all set up for the April 26th cruise and I was dead set on that date but things have come up and it just might not be a possibility. My husband is asleep but I plan on talking to him in the morning and switching to this cruise. Do the kids still dress up for halloween? Or do the forgo the holiday fun for an even better trip?

This is my first cruise at Halloween but from what I can tell from others is that the kids do dress up (and some adults too!), there are other group activities planned such as the FE, a door decorating contest and group meets

Hello everyone! Happy summer!

I am finally unwound from our last trip and ready to look forward to the new one. It took over 10 hours to get our laundry done. We went on NCL which was pretty nice. My girls had a blast and loved the kids club. I know the food was pretty good because I put on a few lbs.

They don't know about our upcoming Disney Cruise with you guys yet but I think it will blow their minds since I don't think they feel that the NCL cruise could have been any better. But they are missing The Mouse

Now that the heat is on in Las Vegas we are spending most of our days in doors except for early morning. This also means that most of the shopping gets done via Amazon since it is just too hot to pack everyone up and get in the car. Yesterday my car's temp read 112f. It's almost time to bake cookies in the car again.

Hi,

We'd love to be sailing with you and the other Dissers we've met, but we have another trip scheduled at the same time.

Our next Disney cruise is booked for 11/09/13 on the Fantasy. Traveling with friends from Florida, and we want to use our DCL discount from the "Rock 'n Roll Sandy Cruise". They don't like to be away from their home during the peak of storm season.

I check every so often to see where you will be sailing, and what ships are on the books. Perhaps our paths will cross at WDW in the future. We get there several times a year, and have plans for November, December and January.

I'm stuck for FE ideas. I think these little ones I'm surrounded with 5 days a week plus my own kids off for the summer has drained my creative brain. At least I have loads of time to come up with something

Ron, can you give me any tips on booking a hotel for our Oasis Trip? I've tried Priceline, my bidding keeps getting turned down, and the prices without bidding seem kind of steep compared to what we are used to paying in Cape Canaveral. Perhaps it's the time of year? Trying to book for the last day of January. Do you recall how you got the Hyatt Place?

We're in! It'll be DH and myself, along with my MIL & FIL, my mom and her DH. Trying to get more family to come along including DH's grandmother and some cousins. We'll be celebrating DH's 30th birthday and our 5th wedding anniversary (which isn't until December but we're combining everything). This will be our 2nd Disney cruise, our first on the Fantasy. Would have preferred Eastern Caribbean, but this is the week that worked best for everyone's schedules. We're super excited to spend a whole week with DCL, Disney cruises are the best!

We are from Wisconin and this will be our 2nd cruise. Our first was on the Dream in 2011. We started with a 3 day to see how we would like it. Since we haven't stopped talking about our "tropical depression" of not being back on board, we decided to book a longer one this time. Can't wait!

Nothing like throwing together a last minute Birthday party for your kid when his birthday was 2 weeks ago!!! LOL He was away at Camp for his birthday and although they did celebrate it there, and gave him a cake and all, summer is a rotten time for a Birthday party here, because MOST of his friends are AWAY on vacation during the month of July. So last minute today with 2 friends, DH is taking them to a movie and then we'll have a Bar B Q dinner with Family and friends
I truly hope I'm not this kind of last minute for the cruise planning/packing/FE making!!!

On a PLUS note, I GOT MY FIRST MEMBERSHIP AT A GYM!! My goal, to RUN the Castaway Cay 5K!! Anyone else on board to try that?
