:welcome: BACK!!! I'm not sure if we cruised with you and the group in 2010 or if you cruised with Jen and Ron after that? BUT WELCOME BACK ANYWAY!!! :wave2:

We sailed on the 2010 Halloween cruise...but we didn't know about disboards. :( It only took us 5 cruises to figure it out. We did sail with Ron and Jen in Sept 2012. Had a great time with the Dis Boards members and can't wait to meet new friends this time.

Want to welcome all the newcomers. This will be another cruise to remember Lois

Lynn, don't you remember??? You are among friends here! ;) You made a huge donation towards our trick or treat last time even though you couldn't make it. I think you'll wind up seeing quite a few familiar names here. We hope you'll be able to join us this time!

Ron

Yes i remember:idea:, we were so bummed that we couldnt go, I sure hope it works out for us this time.

I have done some # crunching and spent most of the day yesterday, trying to figure out what other cruise we could do if my DD couldnt or wouldnt do this one, and all i can come up with is the Royal Carribean Oasis in June 2014.

So ONLY time will tell.:confused3

Hi how does the dis trick or treat work, and what kinda activities will be organised, chocolate/sweet exchange

One other thing my last group did, which was a lot of fun, was a private mixology class. They even made a drink named after our group! Getting a private tasting like this requires someone with the ability to "pull some strings" with DCL.

From my understanding, the Dis-ers who pulled those strings on my last cruise have just booked this cruise! I'll wait until they officially join this thread before I start jumping to conclusions... but wouldn't that be fun???:thumbsup2

You couldn't go wrong with either of those choices.

It'll be so fun to cruise with you guys again! Obviously Savannah is super excited to see her friend Amanda!:cool1:

Ron

I was wondering when this page was going to POP up! (Thanks Judy for sending me the link) So yes, we are totally back in for this cruise again. I'm Jonathan, my wife Amy, and son Adam are all in. This time though, I'm not forgetting my paperwork to anything I do in Mexico! :thumbsup2

We are in 9674 Aft Balcony, where I totally plan on throwing Margaritas over my balcony so Deck 7 can hold out there cups and catch the wonderful delights!! :wave2: Also I have promised myself to "act" my age at a certain restaurant (in GC) with a slide and not scare the living bejesus out of anyone in the pool below. :lmao:

No Characters?! whaaaaat?

Did you know that they are building a brand new Margaritaville in Falmouth? It'll be right there in the cruiseport. This one is supposed to have a pirate ship and a pool!:cool2:

Glad we'll get the chance to cruise together again!:thumbsup2

GO BLUE!

Welcome! This is a very good group... I would even bet one of the more active ones on the boards. LOL

I joined the dis last time and apart from the meet, FE and stateroom tour nothing else happened! So disappointed I only made one friend that I keep n touch with on Facebook.
Sounds like this cruise is going to be a blast and I really can't wait.

You have no idea! :thumbsup2

HE!! You made it here!!!! Let me know if you want to link Ressies for dinner. Tim would certainly love to hang out and be Goofy with Adam at mealtime (heck then we have our Characters for a group breakfast LOL ).

I vaguely recall the story you mentioned about a Slide and freaking people out, but now that YOU brought it up, you have to fill us all in on that again :p

You came to Nachi with us last time, did the taxi driver give you a hard time about Paperwork proving you had a ressie for Nachi? I had heard some won't even take you there without that paperwork. I assume thats what you are referring to? Or did the Nachi People give you the 3rd degree?

For our OASIS cruise in February, we WERE planning on staying on the boat instead of doing excursions in port BUT,,,, I was just thinking that in Cozumel, it might be worth checking out another ALL INCLUSIVE RESORT BEACH DAY. I've checked some out via Island Marketing, and there's many that look just as awesome. Two have several pools and one has snorkeling equipment and water toys included and are the same price as NACHI. So EVERYONE, let me know if you'd like me to check out another place, and then perhaps based on my report and other reviews online, we can make a GROUP excursion for that again in Cozumel :) :thumbsup2

I was going to ask you about linking. I know Amy will be thrilled. Adam was already complaining about not knowing anyone on the ship. I just shot him a "look" and said, "really." We do have LATE seating this time because he wanted more pool time, this should help with the lack of pools, and we wanted more time in the ports. Plus it then kinda helps with me since I couldn't careless about the shows, I can just run around the ship.

Nachi: I didn't have taxi problems but I did not have the paperwork reservations with when we arrived. Magically, they lost my reservation and they wanted me to pay full fare. Then they "found" the reservation, but then charged me more to get admission.

GC: Jen, Amy, Adam, and Jen's kids were in the pool at Margaritaville. There is a slide that I heard about from my sister. My son was "thrilled" his dad was going down any slide, and I hurled myself down. I remember seeing Amy and Jen talking in the middle, when they both saw me. I have never seen people move that fast in water. EVERYONE moved out of the way. When we got back home I jokingly told my with about my small splash there. And she looked at me and said, "There was NOTHING small about the splash."

Oasis: didn't know if you saw this but its a menu from the ship. http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/oasis-seas-main-dining-room-menu-september-2012

Lastly for everyone, Its the Magic but it is from that trip at Cozumel.

Hi justTJ we previously sailed on the dream in August 2012. That was our first cruise and apart from the only sea day being ruined by hurricane sandy we loved everything. I planned to spend the sea day sunbathing in the adults only area but we weren't allowed outside the ship. The theatre shows were top notch, all the characters meet and greets so cool.

Those short Dream cruises tend to not have quite the camraderie that the longer cruises do. I think you'll find friends on this cruise that you'll remain in touch with for years to come!:goodvibes

We haven't even started to think about what we'll do in Cozumel on our Oasis cruise in November...:confused3

It would be cool to do another group excursion. If you can come up with someplace I'm all for it! It would be cool if it could be semi private to just us "Dis-ers" and families... I know Sarah would love to do another beach scavenger hunt!

Thanks for sharing that!! You gave me my laugh for the day. I can just picture it!!!

That sucks about Nachi still charging you more! What on earth was their reasoning for that if they in the end FOUND your reservation?

minnie mad mum It kinda sucks when your on vacation and things like Sandy come along. Glad you loved that cruise enough to come along on this one :)
We loved our cruise on the Fantasy last month. The last day though, a fellow passenger, not one I knew, suffered a heart attack at Castaway Cay at the end of the day. He died. 50 some years old. Very sad. We did not know this is what happened though. Our ship had been flagged the night before to have the gangways inpected by bahimian officials on our Castaway Cay morning. So our day was shortened as we could not disembark as early as we normally can. So just as dinner was starting that evening, and everyone was wondering why we hadn't set sail yet, the cruise director announced that our departure has been delayed because of waiting on the Bahimian officials to finish up some official paperwork. I'm sure most people thought that had to do with the inspection from the morning. Anyway, we left much later than we were supposed to, and we were constantly told it was not going to affect our arrival back at PC in the morning. It was a rough night on board as the captain really booted it back at a higher speed and I'm sure we also went through a small storm. The next morning, at 7:30 we still had not yet docked which is very unusual but did soon after. Then we were told debarkation would be delayed as we were late coming in and we were 2nd in line for customs officials or something like that. We finally started to get off the ship at 10a.m. and it was the couple in front of us that told us about the death. So so sad. Aside from that and the rough night, it was still a fabulous cruise. We loved the swimming with sea turtles in St. Thomas and hiking in the rainforest in San Juan. I'd LOVE to someday do that itinerary again :)

I don't recall Castaway Cay being the last day of the cruise, on our previous cruises. I quite remember Castaway Cay being the same day as Pirate night. When did DCL start doing Castaway Cay on the last day?

We have done one three day and nine seven day cruises and our Castaway day was always the last day. The one exception was the one cruise with two satops at Castaway. That one it was our first stop and our last stop. Our first cruise was in 2003.

Here is half of your Mixology Dream Team officially checking in. My wonderful husband Alan Okuno (age 47 at the time of the sailing) and me, Alisia (age 50 at the time of sailing) will be joining this fabulous group. We feel so blessed to be able to see old friends and to make new ones as well. We have room number 12506 and early dining. By the way, string pulling is my specialty:thumbsup2.

Hey Alisia and Alan! It will be so nice to cruise with you again! You're hospitality in showing your "Walt Disney Suite" during the stateroom tour and arranging that mixology (along with Darcy) really helped make our last cruise experience extra special!:goodvibes This is going to be great!!!:thumbsup2

All I can say is AWESOME!!!! Can't wait to see everyone again.

Here in the midwest we are expecting snow tomorrow. We are being told that we can expect about 10" I am planning to take a day off from work and to dream about this vacation. Really want to be where it is warm.

And here is the other half! :goodvibes

We are booked and I'm hoping I can make this work as I'd love to see all you guys again!!! We had tentative plans for Aulani in February 2014, but not sure that will happen, so this is my backup. Not a bad backup plan, if I do say so myself!!!

So, either way, I'm doing some big time saving for one of these trips...and while I'd love to see Aulani, that would be an even bigger expense than this trip for us....only time will tell!

Alisia - you pull the strings and I will coordinate the group! We made a good team this past fall. :thumbsup2

We are midship 7600...so not too far away from you guys, Ron and Jenn!
