Hi everyone!
Thanks for the add to the Facebook group....here's our information:

Alexis, Ray and our girls Rachel and Emily. They'll be 8; Ray and I are aging gracefully. We'll be coming in from San Antonio, Tx and the cruise is in celebration of my mom's 60th b'day. :cheer2:

My husband and I have done one other cruise: we tried Carnival...and think that we just had too many sea days for his liking. I grew up in CA as the daughter of someone who had the luxury of growing up in Anaheim, so DL was a huge part of my life growing up and I want to share that magic with my girls. Pretty sure DH is a lost cause...lol, but he is going to have a good time if it kills me.

We can't wait and I seriously hope the next 10 months fly by!!!
Cheers-
Alexis

Ooops - I forgot to add that we're doing the Main dining....we've got my 3 year old niece with us and we are in room 5154. I'm excited about the bigger balcony. The rest of our 'party' are in the 8000 range - all in deluxe family balcony rooms.

Welcome! I've added your family to the roll call on the first post.

I'm not sure but I have attempted several times through facebook and here to get in contact with the person heading up the FE. I do know I am having a difficult time getting email updates with the group and everything but I wanted to let someone know I would really like to do the FE with my family. PM's don't seem to be getting over. :worried:

Thanks a bunch. BTW The kids just found out this morning about the cruise. They are super excited!:santa:

No worries! I've gotcha! I have quite a few PM's up there so some work to do . But as long as you sent me a PM here on the DIS t will get added ASAP. :goodvibes

Ever since late October things have been totally and completely crazy for me. We had a cruise, immediately after getting back Thanksgiving, a trip to Biloxi, the very next week surgery- which took a few weeks to get back on track from, meanwhile Nutcracker for the girls, Christmas, New Years, got sick. I am totally ready for 2014 to give me a break! :faint:

I'm going to try to make sure the list it totally updated by the end of this weekend. We have to go to Orlando...plus I'm working, but I still should have time. Cant get to it now, have to go to bed and get back up at 1:00 AM for work tonight (blah).

BUT I didn't want everyone to worry. If you requested via PM here it is safe in my inbox. IF you requested by FB only, not sure if I still have the emails (email inbox is quite buried). So shoot me a PM here.

Thanks! :goodvibes Jen

Hi! I just sent a request to join the FB group. It will be from Jennifer Insley-Gushue. Didn't even occur to me to try to reference my DIS moniker. Whoops!

You are better than I am..my 9yo will actually be 10 on our cruise :ssst:
I am so excited to know there will be some girls my daughters age we can meet up with!!!
We went on a cruise two years ago on RC and we didn't know anyone and there were not that many families or couples so we didn't have a great time. We think the Disney ship is going to be more our style.

Well... On past cruises, aside from the TOT and Fish Extenders, we've done group excursions. One was to an all inclusive beach in Cozumel called Nachi Cocum, our dis group booked the whole place pretty much to ourselves. On another cruise we did a Stateroom tour where several people from our group set up their rooms to be toured, to give people an idea of what types of rooms are like. The grande finale was the Walt Disney Suite. It's kind of tradition to meet up on the first day and have a grand gathering of everyone from the dis group (and families) followed by a group photo. We've done group lanyards in the past. That's one of the main reasons to have this thread, for everyone to come up with ideas...

So what's the chocolate/ sweets exchange? Sounds like fun!:goodvibes

Ron
My hubby and I want to plan to Go to Nachi. Is this group doing that the day we are in Cozumel?

We've done Nachi and we thought it was great! I was kind of hoping to try one of the other beaches, but if we can get this group to all agree on a place to meet and have one big Dis excursion, I'm all for it! Even Nachi again...:)

One thing great about Nachi is if we can get enough people from our group (approx 100) we can make the place exclusive of Dis peeps! We did that on our Halloween cruise in 2010.

We just talked it over after reading the boards and we have decided to do late dining. Our state room is 2561.
I am hoping to be able to do an upgrade to a balcony room when we get there if the ship isn't to full. :fingerscrossed:

I have one question for you seasoned DCLrs. We have only been on one other cruise and we did not know you had to schedule your entertainment ahead of time and get tickets. Is Disney like that? Do I need to call or log on to lock in seeing the shows? and getting a good show time that fits our dinner schedule? :confused3TIA:)

These other peeps are more experts, but with the two cruises I have been on, everyone at the late dining goes to the shows first, then heads to the main dining room for dinner (or where ever you want if you do't want to eat there) The early diners will eat first then head to the show second. So while one group is eating, the other group is watching then they switch.
