Still testing my color enhanced posts. Obviously not happening now. Argh... lol.

Welcome to the new members who joined us recently. I'll add you all to the the roll call as soon as I get a chance.

The naming of our group... We named our last Magic Halloween cruise in 2010 The Not So Scary Halloween cruise and Jen came up with that graphic. Not So Scary is a play on the Magic Kingdom's annual Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. We can call this one The Not So Scary Halloween Cruise 2014... Or we can come up with something different if everyone would like. I'd kind of like to stick to the the Halloween theme in the name and graphic design. Not the old graphic, something new, but with a Halloween/Disney Cruise theme....

I've seen a lot of silly names on some of these cruise threads... I just don't want it to be something like:

Fantastic Fantasy Halloween Cruise.... never been a fan of the names with Fantastic, Wonderful, Magical in it.

Pirates Sailing Aboard the Fantasy, With Mickey and Friends to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. or anything Pirates... I live in Tampa so we get a little Pirated out around here...;)

With that said, maybe we should call it:
"Pirates In The Caribbean Dreaming of a Wonderfully Magical Fantastic Pre-Election Day Cruise":rotfl2:

I'm not sure but I have attempted several times through facebook and here to get in contact with the person heading up the FE. I do know I am having a difficult time getting email updates with the group and everything but I wanted to let someone know I would really like to do the FE with my family. PM's don't seem to be getting over. :worried:

Thanks a bunch. BTW The kids just found out this morning about the cruise. They are super excited!:santa:

Thanks! Merry Christmas to you and your family as well! We did an FE on our cruise in January and absolutely loved it!

My kids said "I don't think pirate costumes will be good enough."pirate: I can't wait! Halloween is our favorite :stir:

Kathy, DW Traci, DD Chandler age 7, DS Maddoxx age 5 & DS Beckett age 3 will all be on this awesome cruise! This will be our third Disney Cruise together. We are in stateroom 12010 and have early dining. We will be traveling from
Chesapeake Va several days before the cruise to spend a few days in Orlando. We would love to meet and other "families" that will be on the cruise!

Jen, Nenner1 is doing the FE. She's been very busy and has been recovering from a surgery. If you pm'd her she'll get back to you. No worries. I'm pretty sure that she gets the info from facebook too.

By the way... Did you want to be added to our roll call?

Ron

Wow. That was a lot to read!!!
We're so excited to be joining you all on this cruise! I am Jennifer, my husband is Kevin, and our daughter is Tessa (7). It will be our third Disney cruise, but our first time on the Fantasy and our first time sailing over Halloween! So much to look forward too!
Joining us on this cruise will be my cousin, her dh and their 5 year old dd. We've been telling them about Disney cruises for a long time....and then on Thanksgiving, over many, many glasses of wine, we found ourselves with tablets in hand, booking this trip!
Cannot wait! I should probably get past this holiday stuff first, though.:santa:
Looking forward to getting even more excited with your help!

Hi! We just booked this cruise this week while on the fantasy. It will be myself, Amy, my husband, Phil, our 8 year old Gabe in room 7098 and my dad, Jim in room 7100. We are celebrating my birthday which is 10/31 and we are looking forward to all the not so scary party type activities! Our home state is Florida. Looking forward to being added to the roll call and meeting everyone!

Ron,
Like you I dont want anything "Goofy"! Something that depicts our 2014 Halloween Cruise would be fine. I like the Not So Scary Halloween Cruise 2014 idea! Keep us posted and let us know when and how to get the money in for the shirts!:stir:

What we've done for our last couple of cruises was put a logo out there and everyone could do their own thing with it. We usually do the iron on transfers. Going with an outside company to print them up can lead to copyright issues. By the way, the logos ended up everywhere! T-shirts, FE gifts, door magnets, etc... It was a great feeling seeing so many people put my wife's design to good use!

So on our last cruise in November we ended up going on a private snorkel charter in Cozumel followed by some beach time at Paradise Beach. The weather was horrible while we were at the Paradise beach so we didn't get to make the most of it, but it was a fun place.

I was hoping that a lot (if not all:)) of us from this group could do a "Dis" excursion over to one of these places. Paradise Beach was cool. I loved Nachi... Mr. Sancho's looks fun. Playa Mia looks really fun especially with the new on land water park they've built recently. What do you all think?

Jamaica was awesome! You'll want to book a tour to make the most of your time there. I've heard of a lot of people who were less than impressed and I believe that is because they didn't do their homework. We went to this place called the Blue Irie Hole aka Secret Falls. It was breath taking and it puts Dunn's River to shame. I'm hoping to do that again. We've already booked our awesome driver/guide for the day.

I'll have to look at Cozumel and see what Samantha wants to do. I was not impressed with Jamaica at all, but I wasn't on a cruise. I was there for something else and traveled a bit through the country. I'll probably enjoy a day excursion more than being there for a week. ;) I think Sam wanted to do the bobsleds there.

No problem. I hope her recovery is going smooth. I know things come up and people get busy. The first thing out of our kids mouths was about FE so I just wanted to double check. I believe I was added to the roll call a while back. Thank you so much.

Thank you! She's getting there... I see you on the roll call now. Sorry about that!

Hi everyone!
Thanks for the add to the Facebook group....here's our information:

Alexis, Ray and our girls Rachel and Emily. They'll be 8; Ray and I are aging gracefully. We'll be coming in from San Antonio, Tx and the cruise is in celebration of my mom's 60th b'day. :cheer2:

My husband and I have done one other cruise: we tried Carnival...and think that we just had too many sea days for his liking. I grew up in CA as the daughter of someone who had the luxury of growing up in Anaheim, so DL was a huge part of my life growing up and I want to share that magic with my girls. Pretty sure DH is a lost cause...lol, but he is going to have a good time if it kills me.

We can't wait and I seriously hope the next 10 months fly by!!!
Cheers-
Alexis
