October 2025 crowds

How much should I obsess about planning a trip for October 2025 around crowds?
It would either be October 3-7 or 8-12 (Columbus Day is the 13th).
The second one is probably better for our schedule but I started worrying about the Columbus Day weekend crowds that Friday and Saturday.
Not sure how much it would matter.
We’ll get multipass FWIW.

Both will be packed IMO. October might be the busiest time of the year now days. I would pick what fits your schedule best.

Disneyland event calendar doesnt go out that far yet and neither does the anaheim convention center calendar.

If you go off this years AP pass calendar, there are some of them blocked on the weekends so that helps to thin the crowds some.

Canadian Thanksgiving is the same day as Columbus Day, so it’s a long weekend for a lot of people. We’re also considering the same weeks next year!

October is VERY busy at DL. Definitely buy Genie+ (or whatever they call it at DL) and it will help. I went 2 years ago in October because it was the only time we could, we bought G+ and it was fine. It was incredibly hot, though. It was at least 88 degrees and humid each day. Two days after we left, it dropped down to the high 60's! From what I'm told, the weather can be unpredictable in October. Have fun!!!
