Friday 10th October Day 7

Today was our first trip ‘off property’ – how could we !! :earsgeek: We were off to Universal Studios, We were using a Mears Shuttle which was $13 per person so we arrived at USF at about 9.30am. We went straight to the new rides Shrek followed by Jummy Neutron. Now Shrek was very good for the 4-D experience. One thing we did tire of was as we were waiting for this ride the Cast Member or whatever you call them here was constantly having little snips at Disney. Now if it wasn’t for WDW I wonder how many visitors USF would actually get. Jimmy Neutron was OK - I didn’t quite get it – but then I have never watched the programme.

Next up was Earthquake DH volunteered as one of the people on the boat. Then told me off because I didn’t take a picture of him!! We went on Twister next which is one of our favourite’s. No Jaws this year as it was down for rehab so we went to Starbucks for a lovely coffee frappucino yum…….this is what I was looking forward to most at US – mad I know. Men In Black was our next ride and surprise, surprise I beat DH – He wasn’t impressed so we weren’t allowed to go back on. Back to the Future is one of DH favourite rides albeit very bumpy.

We went to watch the Ghostbusters Show – I have never seen this before and wasn’t quite sure what it was. We snuck up the front and sat on the floor. What a brilliant show this is, so funny!! Terminator show was next on the list we enjoyed this. Popeye and olive were outside for photo’s but unfortunately didn’t have the same appeal as Mickey and Minnie ::MickeyMo so we passed them by. We spent some time in CityWalk – OK we spent some time in Quiet Flight – out favourite shop here of course the aim was to see just how much money we could spend LOL We did extremely well a few T-Shirts for DH a hoodie, wallet and a bag for me. Before we left Universal one last Coffee Frappucino for me J

Back at the Boardwalk we rested for a while before we headed out for dinner. Tonight we were dining at Cinderella’s Gala Feast at The Grand Floridian. Usual routine bus to MK then Monorail to GF. We arrived in plenty of time for a nosey around. It is a lovely resort but I really don’t think I would want to stay there – not that I could ever afford too LOL. We walked down to the boat dock by Narcosse’s very picturesque. We enjoyed our dinner at 1900 Park Fayre – I have never seen so many Cinderella’s before that I felt quite out of place and not dressed for the occasion J

After dinner was a glorious evening at Jellyrolls back at the Boardwalk. I love it here. For those of you who have never been it is a Dueling Piano Bar. You can make requests for any song you like, they will definitely give it a go. When we stumbled out of here at the end of the night we didn’t have to walk far home

Back to the future is DH fave ride at USF too, must be a man thing ;)

Another fun packed day.
