We were on a 7 night Western with Disney 2 years ago on Halloween. We were in Key West on the 31st. It was a great cruise-lots of decorations, characters in costume, party, T or T, etc.

Folks on our thread planned extra things that were just for the kids in our group. Separate T or T, and treasure pirate: hunt while on one of our group excursions. Such fun!

Look forward to meeting you.

Joanie

Thanks for the info:goodvibes Sounds like such fun:cool1:

Hey, does anyone have a category 8A cabin that they would be willing to have open for our cabin crawl? I would very like to see what these look like as we might book this category on our cruise next December.

Should we plan some special things for the kids on this cruise? If so, who would be interested in coordinating the events? I think that it would kind of fun.

Hi, Welcome ABOARD!! We are glad that you found us and will be joining us for this cruise.

As far as the Halloween theme, I think sometimes this is hit or miss. Although, we are the cruise right BEFORE the Halloween cruise so, there maybe so events going on around the ship.

I know some of the cruisers here plan to do a little "Trick o' Treating" on the ship for the kids. Not to sure how the are doing this, though. I will find out and post it on the first page of this thread.

Did you want to participate in the FE gift exchange that we are having? If so, I will need names and cabin number so that I can add them to the list. If you don't wish to publish your names on the open forum, you can send me a PM when you are able, and I will only add your info to those on you FE list.

Anyway, I will add you all to the main post. And again, WELCOME!

There was some info on this in disneyeveryday.com Here is a link http://www.disneyeveryday.com/a-fri...its-disney-cruise-line-guests-this-halloween/ :wizard:

Very excited about the Halloween activities! Think I might need to bring some Halloween door decorations after all!

I'm so excited! I can't believe that it's under 2 months to go

I just wanted to make sure that you were aware that there is another group doing a FE Exchange on the ship besides this group. The group I am traveling with is made up of a bunch of current and previous DIS'rs who have been friends and cruising together for several years. I think we have 22-24 participating cabins as of right now so you will be out and about delivering your gifts and see FE's on each deck that are not on your list and I didn't want you to think you had a wrong list and my be missing cabins, etc. and get all confused and worried. I know I would so now you shouldn't LOL

Thanks for the heads up-I would have stood at someones door very puzzled then come up short on gifts!!!! thanks for the post on info for Halloween !! My daughters are soooo excited (as well as me) to have the trick or treat fun!! We really look forward to that since I usually work Halloween night!!:faint:

I've been recruited to make a friends rooms FE gifts. I've got ours nearly done, but I'm stumped over what else I can make for theirs:confused3 if anyone can PM me with some fun ideas I would really appreciate it!! I've been looking at websites and trying to be creative......:scared1:The juices just aren't flowing like they were when I was younger:stir: thank you to any suggestions!!Welcome to all our new cruisers that have joined us !! It willbe a great vacation cruise!!

Disney does not want anything to happen to their ships or the guests on those ships. They will do whatever they need to do to keep you safe.

Plus by Wednesday, Isaac will already be on land.

I know, but we live in the panhandle and are driving down tuesday!!!

We just wanted to check in to this thread, albeit a little late, considering we booked this on our last cruise. :confused3 FYI... we don't do FE so no worries there :thumbsup2, but we are certainly interested in the Meet and Greet. :grouphug:

Here's our particulars...
DH (43) and DW (44)
Cabin 10162 (5E)
Second Seating
NOTE: We are also doing a pre-stay for the Epcot Food & Wine Festival (we're total foodies and are the weirdos that photograph all of our food). :rolleyes1

Definitely looking forward to experiencing Fantasy. Loved Magic (still has a special place in our hearts), thoroughly enjoyed the Dream (we had Cabin 6192... yep, the backyard with the flag which was amazing), but we can't wait for the Fantasy and the subtle changes made to it. Normally we would be sailing in November to coincide with our anniversary, but we chose this one because it's the last Eastern with St. Maarten until May of 2013 and we haven't done Eastern since 2003.

And we saw the post about Halloween and we're totally psyched, however since we dress up for Pirate night, we'll now have to consider stuffing a second costume in our luggage. :crazy2:

Looking forward to it and also meeting new friends.

Welcome aboard! Hope you have a magical cruise!

We are also very torn on the whole Halloween costume fiasco! We might just double up pirate night and costume events, since we are going for certain characters anyhow!

My wife and 2 boys (6 &4) will be making this our first DCL cruise. Not sure if I can post website links or not but just saw on this website (disneycruiselineblog.com) that our cruise will have Halloween theming/special events. Not sure of the source. Anyone experienced this before?

Our first Disney cruise 2 years ago (about this same time) on the Wonder had Halloween stuff going on! We love Halloween so we really enjoyed it. The characters were dressed in costumes, trick or treating around the boat ( they gave a map of the candy stations and trick or treat bags). It was a fun time and I'm glad we get to participate again :). I'll try to post a pic
