I just checked and the book date for First-timers is TODAY!!! I hope all of you first-timers were able to book what you wanted to book, with the exception of Palo Brunch.

Hey, is anyone doing Remy?

We are doing Remy- once on our own and once in the private dining room.

Just for the record, I DID not need help with the FE. I already had a master list ready, and I have done this several times. There is a great way that I do the FE when it has to be split up. It makes it fair and keeps it very equally distribute.

The issue is simply a couple of folks want the list sooner than the 5th. That was the only issue. I still contend that it is, and will be better to do it all at the same time. This is what I have said all along.

I understand you may have done this lots of times and you are an experienced cruiser but what about us who don't get to do this often and are excited and want to focus on this cruise and get things done and need the extra time to prepare.

What is so complicated about sending out a list now (especially since it is made per quote above) and then updating as things change?

That's right you didn't ask for help, but I offered to help because you seem to be busy and not around to answer questions or update anything and as I understand it you have a cruise in Sept that you will be focusing on as well. Why not let someone else help, open polls let others have a say so on dates, delivery times, whether to break into groups or not. I am getting this feeling it has to be your way or no way at all, no flexibility. A lot of feelings were hurt over the name the cruise poll and I would hate to see this happen with the FE as well.

At this point others have shown interest in not breaking into groups and I am totally on board with that!

I am not a confrontational person but I expect to have some say so in my vacation and I am hoping others do as well. The FE should be fun not a mad dash to get done the last few weeks before we sail when there are other things to do.

I wanted to make this process as smooth and effortless as possible. I KNOW what happens. It is actually happening with my September cruise. More and more folks are adding. Thats cool that they let you come into Animators outside of service times.

I don't know a lot of good meeting places eiher, but I know I saw a lot of chairs off to the side of the lobby (opposite the big doors), but I'm sure there are more interesting places to meet.

SooOOoo tired after a long night with booking/check-in, and an early rising baby!!
We got PAT of 11:30, Palo dinner on day 5, and 4-in-1 on Castaway with a sting ray time of 11! Couldn't have asked for much more than that! We'll try for brunch once we get on board. I think I love my formal night dress so much that I will double it up and use it for Palo night as well!! Hope everyone had happy booking!

Ok so instead of a PM and inquiring as to why I have a problem with things being done your way or no way, you posted to the group and avoided answering every question I asked.

This is just like with the name thing you would not let anyone have any say so on anything and did what you wanted. You blatantly ignored every suggestion made and closed it off without wanting to make changes or listen to others, just like you are doing with the FE. At this point I feel discussing anything other than what you want is a lost cause since everything is ignored.

Again others not ME have suggested that we keep one group and not split but it has not been addressed by you or a poll opened up to vote on it.

In all honesty my biggest problem is lack of communication, flexibility and the fact that after spending the last several months working on FE gifts for the entire list you are going to change things come Sept 9 without any input from others. I am sure I posted on more than one occasion I was doing personalized gifts with names and that I had to get most of my items done before school starts this month. I even sent out a PM message to every person under the FE list to get kids names because you did not respond to my PM asking for them.

And as for the Sept 15 cruise you are on, I went back and read every post on the 28 pages. On the day the FE closed 2 families booked the cruise that same day and were added to the FE list with no problems from what was posted.

There is a private dining room in the back of Remy for groups. I believe it seats 8. We are part of a group that will be there Thursday evening.

I have it booked but have a few questions.

Is there any shade or anywhere for someone to sit out should they not enjoy it or get tired?

Is it really deep or mostly shallow waters?

Not sure I will be able to relax with my 9 yo in the water if it is really deep, we passed on seeing the statues at Castaway Cay because she made me a nervous wreck out in the deeper water.

Just booked a day room at the Hyatt Hotel for our debarkation day!! Have an early evening flight, so might as well try to rest up some an maybe splash around in the pool before boarding our flight!!!

There are 12 french cheeses on the cart (or there were last October on the Dream); they will let you sample all of them if you ask. Our server made my husband and me a wonderful cheese plate with all the available cheese and some fresh honey ... it was divine!
