6 more days and I'll be standing on the Jersey shore of the Hudson River watching the Fantasy pull into port in NYC!!! So excited to see it come in.

I am surprising my sister's kids with a trip on the Ferry to see the Fantasy (the Ferry from Edgewater, NJ passes right by the terminal before reaching it's NYC dock). They have no idea...I'll be taking tons of photos!!!

The Fantasy will be arriving in NYC on Feb 28th and is scheduled to leave on March 2. She will be christened on March 1st.

Our TA shared scans of her invitation to the Christening next week but there was little information besides the time and location.

DCL for whatever reason has really kept this one quiet. No Godmother announced, no internet access announced, no fireworks schedule. Going to be interesting to see what they do or don't do.

We had to change our vacation plans and are going to Disney World this summer instead, for the very first time.
We were looking forward to cruising with our Sailing to the Saints folks and that is such a bummer
But there are always futures cruises, right

Hi All!

Late to the party, but here I am! Just switched over from the Nov. 3 sailing to this one due to change in school schedule. I am Erin, DisneyDoc5 and we are celebrating my 40th b-day with this cruise. I will also have my DH, Bret, DS Joshua 13, DS Caleb 10, and DD Josie 8. Also my mom Barb. We have 2 verandah rooms on deck 7. We have main seating. This is my DH's and mine 6th cruise, but first on Disney and first for the children. We are beyond excited! I need to get reading this entire thread and try to get to know you all. I will get caught up and hopefully we can meet some fellow Disers on this cruise! I have had no luck bumping into Disers in the parks, despite my green Mickey heads!

Is the FE list still open?

We are HUGE WDW fans and live and breath Disney so this is the most exciting thing to look forward to! We live in MI and had a big snow last night, so snow day today for the kids. Looking forward to sailing with you all!

We planned on staying at the Hyatt MCO the night before the cruise. I called earlier today and was told that they have rooms for the stay certificate, so the lady said she would make a note on my current reservation and send me a confirmation email. Never got the email, so I called to double check on it. This chick says that it's not noted, and when she "went to check", 10/19 is blacked out and she can't offer the stay certificate. That sucks. I would have saved us like $50, which isn't much, but would have covered part of the ME bus ride to the port.

I plan on calling on Monday to talk to them again, possibly a supervisor. We really wanted to use the Magical Express, but we might be staying at Comfort Inn with you guys if they can't come down on the rate.

Why is it that the simple things now seem to become the most difficult? It also makes no sense why that day would be blacked out. It is not a holiday weekend that I am aware of (except for us cruisers ). I would definitely be calling back and raising a stink. Since you know when you called, and it was just a few days ago the supervisor should be able to figure out easily who took the call.

Hi Erin welcome to the group. You were sailing with a great group of people (Shell, Jeff, Steve, Diane, etc.) but I promise we are a great group as well.

I am Kelly, this will be my 5th DCL cruise. Just DH and I traveling as my boys decided to grown up, get married and have jobs so they can't come Some of the group is traveling together again after several cruises together, others are first time cruisers, and others are like you and Bret, experienced on other lines. I think this makes a great dynamic.

I know the FE is still open. I think Brenda (Sunshine1259) is heading it up but she hasn't posted in a few weeks. Her ticker shows she is still sailing with us, I think she may just be busy getting ready for her west coast cruise which happens first. You could send her a PM.

We also have a facebook page, if you want to join send me a PM with your FB info and I will send you a friend request so I can add you.

Welcome, I am Joanne traveling with DH Roger and then rest of our Disney friends. We are empty nesters so no kids this trip!!

This is one of the times I wish I did do Facebook, so I could join you there, but I have yet to jump onto the FB boat if you know what I mean - my work is mostly on the computer and I just can't imagine spending any more time on it then necessary, but now this makes it tempting!

Now back to mid-thread, trying to read through and get to know the group so far - looks great! Do any of the kids ever 'meet' each other and hang out, just curious. My younger 2 will be in the same kid area, but my older son, who has NO problem making friends, will be on his own. I'm sure he will love it, but I wondered if there were other 13 year olds - I'm sure I will find them as I read through.

Your kids are going to love it. We went on our first when my boys were13 & 15. They had a blast. The only time we saw them was dinner and excursions!! They made friends they still keep in touch with.

Im Dan my Dw is Nancy we will be sailing with a group of our cruising friends who we have cruised with before. Joanne and Roger, Leisha and Tommy, Di and Walt, Maryjo and Phil,Julie and her friend,Nancy and Chuck,Leisha Mom and her friend.
We are a fun bunch. For some of us this will be our 6th cruising together.
Part of this group of us cruised Alaska in Aug.
