j/k. sunshine1259 (Brenda) has been the one keeping track of the FE stuff. If you haven't already, might try sending her a private message. I havent seen her post here for a while, so I'm not sure if she's been on the borads lately. Maybe she's one of the lucky ones that get to enjoy DCL more than once a year?

Hello all.

In 2009, we had a 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise booked. In January 2009, I was laid off and had to cancel. So here we go again - only this time the cruise is so close and I was so excited.

I am in shock right now. I was really looking forward to cruising - but, I lost my job on Friday - so now everything is temporarily on hold. I won't cancel until the last minute. I just need some Pixie Dust right now.

Lots of birthdays on this cruise! My DGD will be 6(Oct 20), DD will be an age she can't fathom(Oct 26) and I'll have a birthday, too(Oct 24)---all the week of the cruise. I'm starting to get excited. DH and I have one other trip between now and October and once it's done, I can focus on this cruise. We've been on other cruise lines but never DCL and this is the grandkids' first cruise ever.

Brenda hasn't been on the boards in a month or so, she also hasn't checked into the FB page so I am not sure what is going on. We aren't participating so I don't think it would be appropriate for me to reach out to her but maybe someone who is can send her a Private Message and report back. Just a thought.

Sorry to hear!! Hope all goes well. I was in the same situation in 2010. We went anyway my Dh insisted. But we did watch our spending not so many drinks or shopping!!! I was lucky found a job which started right after we got back so I was unemployed for six months.

Out families sound very similar!! My dd 3rd bday is oct 8 and son will be 6 in jan. hope to meet up with you!! This is our third, too!!! Where are you from?!

Hi, Everyone.

First of all, I am SO sorry that I have been away for so long. I have been coming and going so much that I have started meeting myself.

Next, I want to say WELCOME TO ALL OF THE NEW CRUISERS!!!! Welcome aboard. I will come back tonight to actually catch-up and to add new members.

Just a bit on what's been going on. I have my niece staying with me this summer and she will probably be here through next spring. So, after grad-night, Disneyland and the actual move, we have been back and forth to Lompoc to visit my mom and to have my niece finish some last minute things there.

Then my nephew finally came back to California and we picked him up and took him to Lompoc to visit his grandmother and friends. On that trip, I brought him, my niece AND my mother back with me. Talk about a FULL HOUSE!

And as if that wasn't enough, my niece has decided that she wants to go to a dramactic academy. So, this weekend we were down in LA for her to audition (wish her luck!) and for the open house. But, regardless of whether she is accepted or not she won't be going until next spring. Therefore, she still needs to go to school this fall in order to continue working. So, we've been running around dropping off transcipts, going to orientations and counseling sessions.

But, that for whatever reason, my niece decided that she just didn't have enough on her plate, so here we go out to search for a second job. This kid must have the Midas touch. She picked up several applications and had mini on-the-spot interviews with the folks. But, she decided which job she wanted was going to have and so she only put in an application for that store. And guess what? She was offered the job and started yesterday.

Now, this would not have all been quite as busy as has been if that little lady had a driver's license or even a permit. I mean, if she had a permit, I wouldn't have to drive as much!!! But, we are working on that because the chile is going to be riding the bus in the fall if she doesn't have one by then.

Oh, and I am also planning our anniversary Wonder cruise/Disneyland trip for September!!!

Boy, I need a nap!!! I will be back hopefully later this evening after I catch up.
