We would like to be on the 3rd list for the FE exchange. A HUGE thanks to anyone who is willing to exchange with us newbies

My daughter loves to get "mail" so I know this will be a highlight of the trip for her.

For those who have never cruised Disney before. If you are participating in the fish extender game, and/or going to decorate your door with magnets, please know that there are some precautions you should take.

Be sure to carry a couple of 'zip-ties' aka 'cable ties' with you to attach your fish extender to its post. And also be sure that your FE is personalized in some manner. This will keep people from taking the FE with all the gifts.

For the magnets I have a rule of thumb, if you can't live without it, don't put it up (or follow the next rule) If it's a magnet I really really can't live without I usually make a copy of it for the door. Most magnets are flat so you can put it into a scanner/copier to make a copy of it. If this won't work then take a close-up picture of your magnet & print the pic onto paper & then put that on your adhesive magnet/round magnets from walmart. Then you can leave the good one home & not worry. Another thing I do to all of my magnets, I write on the back of them. If you printed on magnetic paper use a silver marker. I usually write "this magnet was permanently "borrowed" from the McDonald family in cabin #_" At least they might get embarassed about it! LOL If it's a magnet I can really remake easily & don't care about I don't write anything on it, I sometimes don't mind 'loaning' them out to othersl If it makes 'em happy I'm glad I helped.

It is sad to think that people will swipe stuff from your doors, but not everyone is a model citizen, including some on ships. Plus you get the kids just pulling pranks on people.

Does anyone know if they do anything special in October for Halloween on the cruise? I know they do on Halloween day, but I wasn't sure if there was anything during the rest of the month.

There are 2 Disney Halloween Cruises per ship this year. Luckily, we are the VERY FIRST on the FANTASY. I spoke to DCL and although they couldn't confirm the actual days and times, there will be a Costume contest for Kids, and a costume contest for adults. We will also be having a Halloween Party aboard ship, and a night with Trick Or Treating at stations thought the Fantasy. There will be Halloween Decor and Halloween inspired foods and drinks as well.

Haha. I'm excited too! There was talk on here about all the extra costumes we all have to bring now....My boys don't want to wear their Pirate costumes beyond Pirate night, so I has to go out and get them a second costume for Trick Or Treating on board. And their usual Halloween candy collector is a Mickey Head shaped bucket which I am NOT packing. Luckily, last year after Halloween I picked up some Trick or Treat bags at the Disney Store on sale super cheap! They have Mickeys head embroidered on them. Perfect for packing!!

We leave for WDW in two weeks and I'm totally unprepared. We're going through a major systems conversion at work and that's been sucking most of my time. And we have family in town next weekend ... so now I have to clean house and get ready for them on top of organizing everything for the trip.

At least it's a good problem to have!

I used to try and prepare for incidentals. Now I'm a "if I forget it, then I will pick it up at the next island kind of gal" I've got my dresses, my swimsuit, sunglasses, and nook. It was funny shopping for antihistamines when we were in Grand Cayman - even though the items were printed in English - the references were totally different. Can't wait to venture out in St Martin/St Marteen. I haven't spoken French in years...gotta start working on my accent or Madame would be upset. C'est dommage.

I do bring a photocopy of my passport and id; just in case items get lost or stolen. When we go out on an excursion, we've always left our original docs secured in the room and carry the copies as backup.

Hi, Everyone. It is very hectic coming back to work after being off for about 10 days. But, I. think that I am finally caught up and can get on with the fun stuff of planning.

For all of you who wish to participate in the third FE gift exchange list, please email me your email addresses. Include in the email, you DISname, how any are in your group, ages of children, and your cabin number.

There appear to be about 5 or 6 cabins with about 15 people. This is not the exact total. Once I receive confirmation of those who wish to participate via email addresses, I will be able to give a more firm account.

Also, Oct 5th will be the ABSOLUTE LAST DAY TO JOIN as I will be sending out the FINAL LIST THAT DAY! So, if I don't have your email information my then I won't be able to add you to the list.

My inbox is full right now so, give a few minutes to clear it out.

Now as for the Cabin Crawl, one is tentatively planned for the second day of the cruise which is a sea day. However, we only have about 5 different cabins. I would love for some more folks to sign up that are in different categories than the ones that are already listed.
