According to a member friend of mine at another site who has "disney connections", October 1st 2006 will bring some big announcments from Disney about future attractions at WDW. I have no idea how reliable his sources are, so it is still speculation.

Some possible things that could be announced in the near future are and Incredibles attraction in Epcot, a replacment for the Indy Stunt Show at DS, most likley IJA. And finally a Journey to the Center of the Earth ride at AK. These are all just what I have heard, and should be considered rumors.

Yep, October 1st is a significant day in history since possibly news of upcoming attractions could be released, 1st day of year of a million dreams and Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and me all share birthdays!!!

Isn't Oct 1 considered to be Mickey Mouse's birthday. It is my dad's birthday and I'm pretty sure I remember from childhood that my Dad told me he and Mickey had the same birthday - Month, day, and year.

We will be there on Oct 1, do you know if the announcements will be in a particular park and open to the public, or will it be closed to a select few like the "Year of a Million Dreams" announcement?

I think Mickey's official birthday is November 18th, 1928 because that's the day "Steamboat Willie" debuted.

From what I've heard, the Incredibles ride is coming to Tomorrowland in MK rather than EPCOT. Time will tell!

Probably it'll be Year of a Million Dreams stuff along with the Midway Madness and Laugh Floor announcements. Nothing to get too excited about.
