I went to Borders Bookstore the night the Half Blood Prince came out to get my reserved copy. What weirdos there! hahaha.

Oh yeah, Ralph Fiennes, WAY creepy! I kept staring at him thinking "how did they get his nose like that?!" Enjoy and make sure you let me know what you thought! :wizard:

Weirdos here too...there was a group of us who left the party early so we could go get our reserved copies at Borders at midnight! I left my own party to go buy a childrens book.... :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Saw the movie....wow! Best one so far and Voldemort was chilling...I just didn't understand why his eyes weren't red...I could swear in the books his eyes are red and unless we got poor quality film his eyes weren't red. Otherwise a highly entertaining adaptation of the book...I would definitely go see it again.

this Harry Potter movie is great! I just wish they put more challenge into the maze and showed more quidditch at the beginning....i also would have liked to see the Weasleys meet the Dursleys...however the mad eye moody turing malfoy into a ferret was priceless and the twins humor through the movie was great!!!

I agree. I love Fred and George and I'm glad that they were in this movie so much considering in the Order of the Phoenix, they will be in there much more!

Add me to the list of adoring fans of your trip report! I waited 'till it was all complete and then copied/pasted & printed so I could read it together all at once w/a Frappichino over the weekend!! Great stuff. You are so funny and I adore your devilish disposition. Oh wait, I'm talking about the cat! You too, Brenda, of course!!

You certainly brought the trip alive....I am a veteran of three 4 day cruises and we have yet to try the seven day but now I feel like I've vicarously experienced it...and without the huge bill!!

Thanks for taking the time to write & post it. When is your next vacation/cruise???

Regards,
Sonney

PS: IF you find the manual with the process for permanently uninstalling Snore Monster V.2005, please let me know as I want to do that process with my DW!

Hi, Sonney!

Thanks so much for reading - I'm happy that you've enjoyed our trip tales enough to print it out in one fell swoop... I bet it reads better that way! You know what else helps it read better? A guavaberry colada!! :teeth:

A lovely fellow molar express cruiser sent us a bottle of the fabled brew post-cruise and now I've just added another beverage to the list of DCL / tropical flavorites.

Our next trip is in May - we head to Universal / Portofino Bay for a 4-day weekend on our anniversary. And then back to WDW in October. Probably no cruises for a while. But you know what I realized? I can turn a Saturday afternoon Harry Potter matinee and a stop at the grocery store into a trip report if I have the time! :rotfl2:

As for Snore Monster V.2005...now that we're home and it's imbibing less alcohol and eating at a more normal time it seems to have quieted down to a more tolerable hummmmmmm. Sometimes it doesn't run at all! Must be all that fun we have on vacation that causes it to overload. Good luck with your version...have you tried kicking yours? I find that useful sometimes. :earboy2:

Thanks again for reading and commenting...I really had no idea that people found it so entertaining. Maybe Jay and I aren't so boring after all....

I am laughing out loud now even though I have chuckled throughout your report prior to the Simpson stuff. I am mom to 5 sons so I am quite familiar with Bartisms etc... You are a superb writer and I have enjoyed my a.m. reading your report. I am a first grade teacher and needed some humor to rejuvinate for the upcoming month. Thanks too for the excursion reports.

Brenda,

Have you been on the Wonder? I'm interested in your opinions on what to do/see if you have cruised on it.

Thanks!

Jen,

sorry to say I have not had the pleasure of sailing on the Wonder. DH and I have stuck with the 7-night cruises because we wanted to go somewhere other than the Bahamas.

I would dearly love to take the Vacation Club Member's cruise in October of next year - that way the hubbster and I could round out our Disney Cruise experiences. Alas, it is not in the cards for us... we remain woefully ignorant of the wonders of the Wonder. :teeth:

Well then I'll have to make sure to let you know how it goes when I get back! :goodvibes Thanks!

HI!

Just found your report as I was looking into excursions for our Eastern Cruise this summer. You had put a link in that thread, so I go hooked!

Loved reading everything you wrote!

Question

On the Sailboat excursion that you took do they have life jackets to wear? I noticed in the picture no one had them on. I have a 12 year old son, and we are thinking of doing it, and thought maybe he should have one on.

Thanks!

Hi Moet!

Thanks for reading - I'm glad you enjoyed our crazy tale. :teeth:

Life jackets were not provided during the 12-metre regatta - they have a sort of safety line strung up around the yacht, but it's not much. I only saw one teenager from the Magic when we took this excursion and I think he was a very tall 14 or 15 year old.

You might try googling 12-metre regatta - I think there is a website for the company that provides this excursion and a phone number you can call to ask about the safety implications for a 12-year old. It really was a lot of fun - I'd sign up for it again in a heartbeat...as soon as I clear that lunchtime Big Mac from my arteries. :lmao:

I hope you and your family have a lovely trip - if you post a trip report please let me know so that I may return the favor and read about your travels. And if you have any other questions just give me a shout out!

This is the best, most entertaining trip report I have ever read.
I want to go back on the magic just get that coffee thing you been talking about, and I don't even drink coffee.

I understand the cat not liking you being gone, mine is still mad after 5 months. When we got home she let us have it meowing no I think it was more like yelling at us some big story. But no gifts for us either and I am thankful for that.

I did have a question, if you all have ever done the western cruise how would you compare it to the eastern? I am getting ready to book a cruise for Dec 2007 for me and my DDs. We went on the western last fall and I'm just wondering if we should try a different one. My kids love the at sea days.I just can't decided what to do.

Thanks

Mom+3...

Thanks for reading, and yes, you must try a mochacino when next you sail. I insist! :teeth:

Our first disney cruise was the 7-night western, our second was the eastern last October. We much prefer the Eastern itinerary because of the extra day at sea. Sunday and Monday are full days at sea and the ship doesn't dock until Tuesday morning when it arrives in lovely St. Martin.

If you and your family enjoy the days at sea then I think the Eastern itinerary would be a great choice for you.

Hi Brenda!

Thanks for your fast answer on the life jackets.

Another question.

I have a cat. 6 stateroom with veranda on the Port side, would you be able to tell me what my views will be while we are at all of the islands?

Thanks!

I just found your report because I booked my first 7-night Eastern cruise and of course I have to do as much research about it as possible, after all 20 months is just right around the corner. I enjoyed it so much, I'm even more excited now. It's just my husband and I and we act like kids too. I think it would be a hoot (only acceptible to say after you're 30) to be on a cruise with you guys. So if you happen to find yourself needing to be take a Disney Cruise I'll be on the November 24, 2007 cruise. Hey it's after post-season so we can both commiserate on how our teams choked during playoffs (go Yankees :rolleyes2 ).

Moet...our room was on the Starboard side of the Magic and we were pretty far aft as well. We had pretty decent views at each of the ports we docked in, so I would guess that with a port room you should have good views in St. Thomas and St. Martin - not too sure about Castaway Cay.

Lvstitch - you guys will have a blast and don't miss the naughty mud treatment for two! If there were only some way we could join you (I mean for the cruise, not the treatment!!! :lmao: ) ...but sadly my DH cannot take time off from work in November, December, or January (hence the October cruises).

Be sure to let me know how your trip goes - I expect a fully loaded trip report, especially since I have to wait another 20 months to read it! :teeth:

I should have mentioned in my report that at some point during the cruise both Jason and I could identify with each one of the Seven Duffs:

Tipsy, Queasy, Edgy, Dizzy, Sleazy, Surly, and Remorseful.
I have been snorting milk out of my nostrils reading these posts!
Please let us know the next time you cruise. Man, we're half-considering just bringing the two of you with us on our next cruise! We'd pay good money to have you at our table!

Keep talking.... we're listening.... :teeth: :lmao:

Actually we're seriously considering summer 2007 depending on the prices...how does that sound?
