October 15 - October 22...Read Me (Now with more pictures)!!

What a good time reading your report! You are very open and warm and funny and it comes through in your writing. We still haven't taken a Disney Cruise. We're trying to build up our alcohol tolerance first. We have the August repo booked for next year so hopefully by that time we can have all the martinis we could ever want and still not fall overboard.

Thanks!
Joanne

Great trip report!
Thanks for posting It
I was laughing out loud and my wife had to come and see what i was laughing at.

Wait...no...don't stop.

This is such a good trip report and I have vicariously taken the cruise right along with you guys, and all.

So now you can't just leave us hanging. I've read the entire thread in one sitting and now I can't go to bed without knowing.....

What WAS your total bill for alcohol?

I know it's none of my business. But somehow, for some reason, I just HAVE to know.... :rotfl:

THANKS for a great report. It's given me all kinds of ideas for our 2007 cruise. And it's made me refigure the old budget ~ to add in a new line item for moccachinos!

Just had to say thanks to those of you who somehow managed to find our trip report almost six months to the day from our sailing date..here I was hanging out over on the restaurant forum and the Universal forum soaking up everyone's suggestions for the best martini at ---------- (fill in the blank as appropriate...Epcot, The Grand Floridian, Universal Studios, my desk at work...) and suddenly I see that people are still reading my masterpiece!! :teeth:

I blush...really. And I am inspired to write of our upcoming WDW adventure with my parents this fall. They have no idea what they have signed on for when we tell them how much fun the Food and Wine Festival is. :lmao:

Goingsouth - I wanted to take that Westbound Repo so badly but my lovey said it was just too much (I think he was concerned that our alcohol & coffee bill might eclipse the national debt on a 14-nighter...I can practice restraint...I swear!!). I hope you have a wonderful time - be sure to try the mochaccino. :thumbsup2

Andy99 - thanks for reading...always glad to know that I was able to make someone laugh (lately at work I've been having the opposite effect on people - they usually run screaming in the opposite direction as soon as they see me).

Trixiezzz - wow! All in one sitting? I need to start working on my novel (a work in progress for the last 20 years!) and send you the proofs you speedreader, you! I'm glad you enjoyed it... as for the alkie-haul bill...let's just say it was less than $500. If you can't booze it up on vacation, when can you?

Hope everyone is doing well....be sure to write your own reports when you get back. I love to read about other DISer's experiences.

Peace.

My husband and I loved this report so much that we both read it twice - we are very excited about the booze and coffee reports, two of our passions. ;)
We too will be at Food and Wine this year, I'm sure we'll stumble past you.....

Wow, thanks! :goodvibes

I see you have a cruise coming up soon...here's my new rallying cry: Viva le Mochaccino!!!

We will be at the F&W, proper, starting on October 21. If you see us stumbling around with two older, bemused looking individuals that'll probably be us!

BTW - have you heard that there is a stand somewhere between the English and French sections of EPCOT that is selling alcoholic squishees? I read somewhere that the Grand Marnier Squishee (or Slushee or Iceee...or whatever) is the bomb!

Hope you have a great time! :goodvibes

I have not heard/seen that stand, the only one I know of in that area has wine and beer (and they don't take debit cards, the fiends). 'Course, it may just be for F&W, in which case I am SO THERE.

I'm sure we'll be there many, many times over the course of the event. I love me some ice wine and creme brulee.

Subscribing................You are a fantastic writer. I am enjoying this trip report!!!!!!!

Excellent report ~ Thanx for sharing it with us.

I just now read your trip report. I am assuming that you didn't cruise this postseason since the Cardinals won it all!

Go Cardinals!

Thanks for reading.

You are correct - we did not cruise this fall. However, we were at WDW during the NLCS and through the entire World Series, which leads me to think that going forward the Cardinals should subsidize our fall vacations as long as they remain land based. :teeth:

Okay, I am subbing so I can come back and read this one.

Brenda, I skimmed through the pages. Where are the pictures? I couldn't see any. Looking forward to reading this one.

Hi Stacey, thanks for stopping by! Back in 2005 when I put this together I was actually a bigger internet dummy than I am today (if that's even possible) and I didn't know how to post pictures in the thread. But I was at least smart enough to make a slideshow and post the link, so just for you...

I hope you enjoy! Feel free to ask me any questions you may have - I have tons of other pictures, too.

If you are seriously considering a Disney Cruise I'd suggest you get your hands on Passporter's Disney Cruise Line and it's Ports of Call. It's a great reference, especially for first timers to DCL and it's only about $15.

popcorn::

stumbled onto this...
way too much to read right now.
we are on the cruise right after yours.
Fat English Gent will have an area roped off for our meet and he's taking drink orders for us ahead of time. :lmao:
