October 11, 2014 7-Night Southern Caribbean Cruise on Disney Magic (San Juan)

The shorter Antigua excursion is full. Sorry, not doing the FE this trip so can't help with that but there's definitely no reason someone can't start a latecomers FE list here on the Dis as well :)

I had emailed carl before I saw this response and he replied today that there is room for us. So I guess we will be joining you on this excursion after all!!

I'm not actually on that excursion (we are doing a beach day in Antigua), I was just passing on what I'd read on Facebook. In any case, glad you were able to join! :) Also glad you were able to sign up for the FE. 5 weeks to go!

Does anyone know Hollywood glitter? I emailed her and have never heard back about joining the late fe...could someone on Facebook let her know

My husband and I just booked the 10-11 Southern Caribbean Cruise... we would LOVE to join this Meet and Greet! :goodvibes

Welcome aboard! It's been a long wait for some us (we booked this in Feb 2013) but it's finally almost time to set sail - I am sooo ready (mentally at least!). I will check over on the 'other site' for you to ask if the Open Bar event still has room (if you have a FB account and are so inclined you can request to join that group - I will still check for you but don't want you to feel like you can't check it out yourself :goodvibes).

Magical4u, Stella said there's still space in the bar event. You can either join the FB group to sign yourself up or you can PM me the names of the people who want to attend as well as their cabin numbers (DCL will bill your stateroom acct) and I will add you to the list.

Dany

We're getting so excited, we leave on this vacation in 25 days!

Hello to all of you and welcome to all the newcomers! Have you all got your cruise documents? We are still waiting for ours. :headache:

How about your port adventures? Have you already booked everything you want to do? We have booked a small excursion to Nelson's Dockyard in Antigua, a Segway Tour in St. Lucia (both via DCL) and a private tour in Grenada.

In Puerto Rico we booked a Bio Bay tour in Fajardo. It is by foot, so we do not need to go by kayak in the dark. It is organized by Para la Naturaleza which is a unit of the Conservation Trust of Puerto Rico. And best of all, it is near our hotel. If someone is interested, there are still 16 places available.

In Barbados we would like to see Bridgetown and maybe a beach near by. Any recommendations?

We are still working on your FE gifts, but making great progress. :thumbsup2

Excited about that!
We are already on the "other" fb account. :-D I sent a PM to someone that is going to hook us up!
Thank you so much!!!

Has anyone else looked into Glory Tours in Barbados? We'd really like to go see the caves and maybe a couple other sites while there and they seem to have some of the best rates and widest variety of options. They even offer an additional discount to groups of just 6 or more.

Sorry, I don't know anything about Glory Tours. We weren't looking for tours in Barbados.

Which tour are you doing in Antigua? We are doing an the Antigua tour, snokling beneath the piton (although we really wanted cruising to the piton but it's sold out) and nutmeg and waterfalls in Grenada. We may do the boatyard on our own in Barbados or do the 1/2 day beach excursion

I don't know anything about them but have you tried researching them on Cruise Critic and Trip Advisor? Lots of good info in both places. (That's how I picked all our excursions.)

The Antigua port adventure is called "Amazing Antigua" - sounds a little bit plain, but we hope it will turn out great. :cool1: It is mainly a drive to Nelson's Dockyard.

Did you decide against joining our tour in Antigua? You PMed me but then haven't replied.

Thanks.
