We just got back from our NYE Disney Wonder Cruise and it was "Wonder"ful. We are soooo looking forward to cruising with you guys. You sound like a fun group.

This was our 5th cruise...our 4th Disney. We have always cruised in October before. We have had some sickness in our family and my sister made a comment that she would like for ALL of us to cruise. You know....if we don't do it now we will keep putting it off and may never get too. Everyone had some time off around the holidays so we decided to cruise on NY. We boarded the ship on 12-30-07. We were in group 2. YEAH!! They allowed us on around 11:40 a.m.

The boat was still decorated for Christmas and it was beautiful. The itinerary had been changed so that we could sail at sea NY Day because of the NYE party but the captain changed that due to storms moving in to Castaway Cay. We were on Castaway Cay NY Day and it was 70-80 degrees. It felt much warmer than that.

The NYE celebration was great. There was a special menu that consisted of Lobster tail. There were parties all over the boat. In the kids clubs, in the adult areas and on deck 9 around the dumbotron. They even had an early celebration for those that wanted to turn in early in Studio Sea. We attended the Deck 9 one. After seeing the evening show, the cast members were standing outside of the theater and passed out gold hats, tieras, and horns to everyone. They were everywhere passing them out. From about 9:30 to 12:00 there was dancing, dancing, dancing. Everyone had a ball. The dumbotron was great because it showed the stage and the moves that the dancers and dj was teaching us. Every so often it would switch to Dick Clark in times square. Everyone was bundled up there and we were sitting on deck in short sleeves. Right before midnight of course there was a countdown and at midnight 2008 flashed on the screen and disney was passing our champagne and cider in cute flute type glasses. There were a couple of midnight buffets that contained shrimp, chicken, desserts, etc. When we got back to the room there was a special lithograph and a box of chocolates left for us.

Another thing I liked was that on NYE and NYD the pictures that the photographers took that the day it was on the photograph which I thought was cool. I have two pictures of my girls swimming at CC and at the top of the border it says "New Years Day".

I do have pictures but not with me and yes I will share them as soon as I can. I have been lurking on the boards but have been super busy. There were 15 of us that had gone. My father was hospitalized twice within the last 30 days prior to the cruise and we got home late Thursday night and he was hospitalized again Sunday. He is gonna be OK!! It is just that we own a business together and when someone is out (especially your father) extra burdens are put upon you. I will try real hard to get some pictures posted.

If anyone has any questions about NYE I will try my best to answer them.

Well, Well, Pirates! What a chatty bunch we have here! I have not been able to log on these past few days and it is nice to know we will be in the company of such chatty cruisers on the ship in 9 months! I feel bad I have been so anti-social with all of you lately, but the new house is moving along very quickly and the baby belly is growing fast as well! (I wonder how in the world I am going to endure another 18 weeks of baby growth, since I am pretty much getting to the huge stage already...Our DS4 loves to remind me about how huuuuuge my belly is getting ) Just got word from my contractor that the kitchen cabinets are in today and he will be moving forward completing the kitchen soon. The new bathroom is just about complete, so I guess this means pack our old house fast and get ready to move soon! Looking forward to it all, but it is still kind of weird that I am moving BACK to the house I was born and raised in...Hopefully, new kitchen, new bathroom, all new paint and carpets will be enough to make it "our" own and alleviate some of the emotional upheaval the move could potentially cause if I had moved into the house as it always was...

~ Kristin...Hope you are recovering well and your girls get over whatever they have quickly...This Connecticut "spring" weather in January is insane, huh? Great score on your airfare...I am thrilled we saved just about as much on our flights for less than one month from now! I suppose I need to organize packing soon, since we leave Feb 7th and am getting TOTALLY excited to go see Mickey and enjoy our first DVC stay at OKW!

~ To Our "DIS-sign Team" on the thread: The designs, etc. I have seen are great so far and looking forward to adding to the creativity when my schedule allows before long...I love that kind of stuff, but l can't seem to find the time lately...

Well, just wanted to check in and say hello to all...Off to the new house to make room for appliance and cabinet delivery on Saturday and make final paint choices...Happy Thursday! Buh-Bye!

The meeting lasted over 2 hours and everyone had ideas but no one would make decisions, I felt like we just went in circles, make a decision!!! We were suppose to plan for a fundraiser and it turned into sooo much more. Made no sense. I tried to keep it focused but then you come off as a b***h. I left and I honestly can't tell you what was decided, except that we will continue to discuss it at the next council meeting..............whatever!!

Something funky is going on with my laptop............oh I hope it is okay.

Don't you hate meeting like that??? It almost seems like when that happens that it was a waste of time...Many of our PTA meetings are like that tooo.

I just flipped channels and the Spice girls video was on, it was ending, it is called Headlines,(friendships never end). I am not a fan, anyhoo, is it necessary that they sing this song all in their underwear, how does it have anything to do withthe song or the video, just random shots of them in their nothingness....I sound like my mother but seriously.

The reason I was asking is because we just got 2 laptops and love them. About 3 weeks after we got them pop got spilled on the keyboard on one of them. We instantly dried and shook it and did everything we knew to do to make sure the liquid did not go down inside it. Praise the Lord it is still working great!! Tim, my husband, was sooooo upset. He just knew that it had bit the dust.
